That sums up my reaction. They include a USB cable and an ethernet cable but don't even let you play HD games. I just spent $600 to watch blue ray movies and games and all they will let me do is SD, not even ED goes through those cables. I guess the Xbox 360 is the only console in the HD generation and 1080P and Blue-Ray obviously mean nothing since they don't want us to use them...
Don't forget the Sony BMG artists on the Xbox Live Marketplace. There is no way microsoft has a monopoly on anything that would cause that to happen.

Xbox was actually made on Unix a Linux variant that Apple has Mac OS X on. When the Xbox first came out that was always used as a point of irony.
Does anyone with a silver account know if the artists of the month are available to you? That is one of the things that they said were going to be for gold members only.
Is this going to be the real GT HD that you buy or are they going to try and trick people with a fully loaded and downloaded copy of GT HD? GT HD is the only game that interests me on that list and hopefully by saying that it is connected to the PS Network they mean for online play and not just to say it works. We'll find out soon and hopefully in 1080P. They better not attach those controllers though or we won't be able to feel the weight or try the motion sensing.
That always annoys me, we pay for it and they get to slow our speeds down for free without giving us anything in return.
That is what i always say. The PSP's biggest issue is the lack of games, with this concept the system starts off with tons and adds value to both the xbox and 360 by continuing to release xbox games for years that offer double value, home and on the go. That could potentially hurt 360 game sales (buy madden on xbox for on the go and home or buy madden on 360 for just home but in HD, hard decision) but most likely won't effect it in any major way.

I have made many decisions for and against a game because of the demo on the marketplace. If the game demo is good the price doesn't affect me.
Why try and predict how god some games may be. If you are going by history then you know that most games aren't how they appear to be. Halo 2 looked like a great game but ended up having a dud ending and Need For Speed Carbon looked great but is actually horrible. Why try and predict this is life that article from a few days ago trying to graph the console sales for the next few years. It was no where near accurate and i doubt this will be either.

Microsoft makes hardware not software, they don't make hardware deals, it limits who they can sell to. Thats why Windows is run on tons of different processors and not just Intel and AMD.

Neither company has been able to implement DiVX yet. I hope it is them not being willing to spend the money to license it and not that DiVX won't let them have it. Sony could add every format in existence and it would still be useless if they skipped DiVX! 600+ gigs of video and I'm stuck re-encoding on the fly to watch it all.
It seemed like they needed to sync the controller every time they started up. Is that the way it is really going to be, that could get annoying.
Those buttons are a terrible idea. Apple first used that type of button over 6 years ago on the G4 Cube as well as their first lcds and they are annoying.
