okay....not sure what that has anything to do with Call of Duty requiring a rediculous amount of 6GB RAM...which is what this article is about.
Also Im very interested in finding out where that other 4GB of ram is really being used (if it actually used 6GB) if the game itself doesnt use over 2GB (which is a hell of a lot more believable)...
@MassEffect23
Actually it is for most. Its like a hobby for most PC gamers, there are hundreds of sites where they can show off and discuss all different kinds of PC stuff and tech. Just like a car enthusiast who likes to work on cars. Not saying its the same for everyone. And PC sales have gone down drastically while PC Part sales have gone up, people dont buy a pre-built pc like they used to, now they Build.
And why are you telling me to speak for myself when yo...
Thats just ignorant.
Exactly the same here. Plus, half the fun of owning a gaming PC is actually building it and working on it, and this eliminates that.
From the partlist variations on the prototypes, its a good assumption that they are going to be costly.
@zod18
No one here is disagreeing with you that its a great service. Because it is. They are disagreeing with you thinking it has better deals than a Steam service.
@zod18
Those games are not techinally free...
They become unplayable as soon as you unsubcirbe to PS+ or your runs out...therefore your actually paying a monthly fee to keep those games "free"....which isnt so free now is it? While if get a humble bundle, I can get 10 games for like $4 and I will alwayssss have them
So your free games are actually just free rentals. And lke Abriael said, still cant pick
PS+ Is great yes but it still doesnt come close to Steam...
Steam is free and you still get all the deals, while PS+ you have to pay for it and the deals are still not as good as Steam....
Not sure why you have disagrees for pointing out a mistake.
@turgore
Love PS+ and it is awesome, your right and I have it, but it doesnt come close to steam sales. It just doesnt. And If im not mistaken, AC Black Flag and Call of Duty Ghost have both been pirated like no tomorrow on consoles in the last week. Its prominent on all platforms.
@cactusiack
No one is talking about graphics quality here, get out (-Bubble, off-topic on this particular conversation). We are talking on games being cheaper so stop trying to s...
With a X360 controller? Really....not for online I hope....lol But if so, thats impressive
The games. In the long run, Console gamers tend to spend more money on games (A much higher price per game) which adds up quickly while Steam has some of the best deals you can find and get in a week get a brand new game for like $30-40. All the time. And a GTX 780ti will be owned by a few % of the PC Community, most dont have a $700 card, more like a $200-300 on average.
Even when it comes out it will only be useful for 4K gaming and even then, you will need to buy AT LEAST 2 to even have decent frames. A GTX Titan right now can barely do 30fps on 4K with a single card. So buying a single one of these cards is worthless, you have to buy at least 2. Good luck
But hey, Im 100% okay with getting 80+ FPS on almost every single game with 1080p on just a single $300 card. Not feeling like spending $1500 and another $500+ for a 4K Monitor.
@syne49
Thats only for Disc Based games that say on the case they have a mandatory install, therfore its not actually installing and only using it as cache while the main game is still on the Disc. But if you buy a game off PSN and download it, thats a full game that has to be stored somewhere, hence the Hard Drive and will still take up the whole 40GB
Have you seen the recent install requirements for all the games?? About 40GB per game...and only going to go up from there...
And really? a bluray case is too big for you and takes up too much space?....interesting....
I mean I will also download some games digitally but to buy them all like that....yikes...
Damnit Nintendo...Ill get behind you when I see a Gamecube 2...
ummmmm.....
Damn....May god have mercy on your Hard drive. Ill pray for you sir.
The current games barely use 2GB (I was playing Arkham Origins and that barely hits 1GB of use any given time) I mean Skyrim with 100+ Mods get about 2.2GB. I dont see any game coming close to using 12GB in the next few years....can you imagine how long the development cycle would be to make a game use that much of VRAM??? Not profitable cycles. It will be used for EyeFinity and stuff like that but not for the standalone game.
And the 8GB of Ram on the PS4 is shared ram, it...
MS, nobody cares about the Kinect, no one is buying an Xbox One for the kinect. Get it together. If they stopped focusing so much on this and more on the actually product that people are interested in, you wouldnt be in this boat.
Me personally, after a long day of work, I want to come home, lay on the couch, turn on my console and enjoy my game in peace with a controller. I dont feel like flailing my arms around and yelling at my tv.
