Right, keep hating on the "casual gamer" for not having the time. When really they are not the reason things are being dumbed down. As long as a game allows for continues or is exciting they'll play it.. just not as much as they used to when they where a child.
You confuse the COD generation with Casual Gamers, the COD generation wants tutorials for everything and refer to themselves as quite hardcore...

It's not that hard, but it does need some practise sometimes, they give you tips on what to do, but it isn't like "Okay.... hold my hands... there we go YAY! Everybody's a winner!" as most modern games. You will die but you will have A LOT of fun :). You'll laugh your arse off, it's my favourite Wii U game for a reason, every level gets more epic than the previous one :).
Wind Waker HD makes me feel like I'm a part of a beautiful animated movie :). I loved how much detail they could put in those faces and how much emotion.
Spending money on special effects and an all star cast of voice actors is better than spending the money on gameplay. Got it!

It is not KNOWN that they made anything more than a Tech Demo. So it isn't an example, it is a rumour. Until sources get out that they are angry that the have to work on Gears of War, than it is an example of MS her love for the Brogamer crowd.

Yes there were some shot fired, mostly out of backlash of SONY Fanboys (back than too) putting down the 360 as "Xbox 1.5!" and the on stage jokes Sony made regarding it's "power!" and jabs at Microsoft by Kojima.
However back then they had Peter Moore, who wasn't beyond jabbing back himself. That is why the Sony fans feel butthur...
This generation won't last 5 years, this is what MS and SONY mean with "the cloud". Eventually they will become thin clients for streamed games or partly streamed content.
At most we'll see 1 more generation in between it, but both SONY and MS are experimenting with this and looking into ways of selling it to the consumer without backlash.
In the latter case if there is one more generation in between, then it will just be an incremental PC...
I hope it remains at that, but I have half a hunch the Fanboys will ruin this as well. I don't trust them at all any more to take anything with some grace and not ruin a good thing.
