You know, I haven't used a disk drive in years! Open Suse I install from USB and afterwards update with zipper. Most of my programming environments I install via web installers or also from a USB stick.
And the few times I had WIndows installed (Really adore Metro, something new, something fresh and if you are a keyboard lover as I am you love it :).). Again was done via a stick.

For instance the water movement in a distant waterfall, the waves of an ocean, outside of the effect locally of your ship, can all be calculated like a stream and the result send to the client.
