The first beta sucked but gameplay wise the “feeling” of the game is so much better. It looks amazing and I know it’s going to look so much sharper and cleaner on the new consoles. Yeah it’s a LOT more. It’s a mobile game with energy restrictions on a console and characters like Deluc that cannot be maxed out without a heavy financial investment. I had enough of this on mobile. Would have been a phenomenal game to just purchase and play online. As it stands, hard pass.

I guess this game is going to be getting a resurge of screen time in my house on the 10th. (Come on Amazon! Send it a day early!) My girl doesn’t know but the last Walking Dead Telltale game she needs to beat will hopefully be backwards compatible and she can pick up where we left of before my XB1 died. Exactly what you wrote is exactly my point. On PS5 data doesn’t have to be duplicated as much/ or at all because of the not just high speed of the unique SSD, but also the uncompressed read/ data speeds and rates that make things virtually instantaneous. So they are using the PS5 read speed just as Mark Cerny said and games should get smaller on PS5. Didn’t think I’d see a game actually take advantage of that this early. I hope Modern Warfare revisits the game on PS5. 150 GBs is straight up ridiculous.

I, like many others, think it depends on the game. In combat yes. Traversal, no. Let me run anywhere I want, even in cities and as long as I want to. Stamina of blocking being directly relevant to the strength of the attacker makes for different strategies and approaches. Also stops your game from falling into a hack and slash. FF7 Remake would be terrible with stamina. Souls would be a totally different game without it.
That’s true, it isn’t one to one and series X is definitely putting in more seasoning, but it’s still a theoretical 12 tf system running a game made to push a 2 tf system. Those upgrades are not THAT expensive. Now that I slept on it though I wonder if it’s heat output is partially because it’s always maxed clock speed. It can’t scale back for task that aren’t calling for the extra juice. I guess time will tell.
All good news for me, I’ve preordered already and don’t really fancy wasting money. Not going to lie, if someone wanted to push the envelope of physics, RT, deformation, and a million other things to make a graphical showcase that had a trade off of the game being in 1080p I’d be down. Frame rate would need to be at least a locked 30 though. That’s a people problem, not a league problem. It’s like Xbox live. I always tell people in MY personal experience the racism on Xbox live is through the roof. It’s ultra toxic. I know people are from different countries and have different first languages and all... but your English reading comprehension is severely lacking. The commercials and Microsoft calling it a next gen console would throw of a CASUAL consumer. IE people that don’t DO RESEARCH. It could be misleading to THEM as the consoles are shown TOGETHER all the time and simply referred to as a digital next gen experience. Start thinking when you respond to people.
Can’t blame anyone for feeling led astray on this one if they preordered a series S because the X was sold out. The commercials make them seem on Par with one another. Hope casuals do their research or ask someone that does. Like I said before preorders even started. It’s Series X, or nothin.

It doesn’t have to be Series X exclusive. Just a next gen game period. Multiplatform or not is irrelevant. I’m just saying ok cool. I think the real issue is that the minds that made those games special are nowhere around. When it’s a series that gets new versions regularly like a COD, Forza, Gears, or Halo you can’t really feel the effects so much of teams changing although I’m sure they do, and all the time. Part of that original vision can live on through some of those team members that remain.
