I have admittedly not played my Series X that much since launch, but I like the controller. That sand paper feeling is great. That clicky ass D-Pad is my only complaint. I was on the phone a few times and it annoyed the hell out of people. “What are you DOING?!” They’d ask. Other than that I have no complaints. It’s nothing amazing, but it’s a better Xbox one controller.

I think edge is really meant to say edgy. They try so hard to be “tough”. I know that reviews are just a certain persons perspective, but how do they ALWAYS put out ridiculous scores like clockwork? Because it’s scoring with a purpose. That “wtf” makes people look and see why.

Hey hey hey!!! I love my Series X controller. That, I’m dead ass serious, sandpaper feel is grippy as hell. It just feels nice. I do like my PS5 controller more for various reasons, but that doesn’t change the fact that the Series X controller is good and better than the Xbox One controller.
What this means to me is don’t stop playing. It’s why I stopped playing Witcher and Final Fantasy 14. You go in a long hiatus and come back to see a wall of quest, missions, and half finished task and instantly get overwhelmed. You’re not in that mindset anymore. You don’t know what the plan was nor where the hell you are at the moment. I put in hours on my series X and I’ve never heard it. I’ve admittedly never touched it either so heat wise I don’t know. It’s by far the best Xbox ever. So I’m happy they made what was already great, better. Now I need the update to reduce the sound on that ridiculous D-pad. As someone that plays the heck out of fighting games it is straight up distracting. It’s to the point that I won’t play them when on the phone on Xbox. Or any Dpad heavy game at that.
