All of your arguments amount to just a massive wall of excuses. The DS was region free, and so was the PSP, and so is the Vita, and the PS3 and (correct me if I'm wrong) I think the PS4 will be region free as well. I don't know about the Xbox One, though.
Point is, there's already plenty of precedent that indicates region free consoles are possible. Everything you said about censoring, and licensing, etcetera, really doesn't hold water. Nintendo just needs to ...
How convenient that you didn't mention the Nes... in order to avoid making Super Nes sound less unique because it wouldn't fit your argument, right?
The Wii U's problem doesn't reside solely on its name. It's several factors, chief among them a serious lack of marketing and lack of games. The latter is being addressed right now, the former remains a problem.
This news only confirm that your eShop balance is now unified on both your Wii U and your 3DS via one single Nintendo ID.
Which is definitely a good thing, but Nintendo still has long ways to go. For example, it seems like game purchases will still be locked to their specific system... and that still needs to be addressed.
Anyways, good start (hopefully).
40-50 million would be a pretty respectable number. Gamecube sold only 20 million, and still turned a nice profit for Nintendo.
No, no. Ouya wins.
Wait, what?
Your loss. GTAV is absolutely fantastic, and easily has the best story of all GTA games so far (and I usually consider the story in GTA games to be mediocre to passable at best).
Did you play Ballad of Gay Tony? It's even better than Lost and Damned. If not, you should. :)
Thanks for that link dude, much appreciated. :)
Really? I didn't know anything about these rumors, but I hope they indeed make something great for the 3DS. I loved Xenoblade, easily my second favorite game of all time (first one being Wonderful 101).
Can't wait for X, which is my most anticipated game of 2014. If Monolith Soft is working on something else besides X, better yet! The more Monolith games we receive, the happier I'll be, if they provide fantastic experiences like Xenoblade did.
Boy, I'm so glad you only have one bubble, which is already one bubble too many.
What the... seriously, is it that hard to read the title? It says this direct will cover 3DS games... dear God.
Yeah, awful gift. After all, who wants to play New Super Mario Bros U, The Wonderful 101, Zombi U, Lego City Undercover, Zelda Wind Waker HD, Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate, New Super Luigi U, Pikmin 3 and Mario 3D World (which will already be out by the holidays)?
And these are just the exclusive games for the Wii U, not counting the multiplatform titles, of which there are a few that are superior to the other console versions.
But apparently, the Xbox One and ...
I think you misunderstood Nintendo's projections a bit. They're not aiming to sell 9 million Wii U's between now and the end of march, 2014. They're hoping to reach that number by then in LIFETIME sales (that is, including all the consoles they've sold since launch, which, to date, amounts to almost 4 million, I think).
The first thing is impossible. The second is not, although I still believe it to be very unlikely.
Pretty much my sentiment, except that I don't care about first person shooters at all, so the PS4 / Xbox One's launch libraries are even less appealing to me.
I will probably get a PS4 eventually, but I will wait until next year when it gets more games, and MAYBE drop a bit in price (although I concede its launch price is actually pretty decent).
The PS4 game I'm looking forward to the most is Infamous Second Son, and that's a 2014 title.
Allow me to fill that void:
OMG WHO CARES ABOUT SALES WII U HAZ NO GAEMZ AND ITS ONLY GUD SELLING GAEM IZ A PARTY GAEM LOLOLOL U CASUAL NONGAMER SONY FTW GREATNESS AWAITS I LUV MIKA VERI MUCH.
No, thank you, Bioware. I had a damn blast playing all three of your Mass Effect games. In fact, the Mass Effect franchise is easily my favorite third party franchise of this console generation.
:)
NO! ONLY ONE SYSTEM CAN BE GREAT! YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!!!!!
You're trying way too hard to justify your love for the Wii U.
I love my Wii U a lot, but come on, man. Almost everything you said is just absurd. Right now, you are no different from Wii U haters, except you direct your hate towards Sony and Microsoft's machines.
The link to the story only leads me to Pit's picture. Just saying.
The Wonderful 101 is my favorite game of all time, critics be damned.
And Zombi U, while it certainly has a lot of flaws, was still a great game for me, because it offered an experience that I've never had with a videogame before, thanks to its gamepad integration. Almost a year later, Zombi U remains the game that makes the best use of the Wii U Gamepad's capabilities.
