Why not? So far, they've rated all of the 3D Mario Games above 90, with the majority scoring 95 or higher. IGN (and everyone in general) love 3D Mario platformers.

In 99% of graphic comparisons (usually between 360 and PS3), games tend to look virtually the same for me, with maybe a very, very slight difference in saturation or textures here and there.
However, on this particular case, I think that 360 and Wii U look pretty similar, and noticeably better than the PS3 version, which looks very blurry in comparison. The PS4 version looks even better, of course, with better textures, better lighting and more effects going on.
Hell yeah. I'm seriously considering taking a day off work so I can have a long weekend to myself to play this. XD
10 times should be enough to form an opinion of the game and decide whether you want the full version or not.

Wii U and 3DS are pretty similar in that:
1. Both consoles had a lot of hype behind them prior to their launch.
2. Both consoles had very successful launches, where they sold the vast majority of the units shipped in their first year in the market.
3. The sales for both consoles absolutely plummeted after the launch craze died on, because both consoles endured awful game droughts, and were priced too expensively in the mind of consumers.

You apparently aren't aware that Nintendo has several teams appointed to make different game franchises. The team making Mario games isn't necessarily the same team making Zelda games.
As of right now, we know absolutely jack shit about the Wii U Zelda game. Nintendo could have 200 people working on it as far as we know, or just 20.

The Wonderful 101 and Zombi U are pretty closely ranked in Metacritic. The first at 78, the second at 77.
However, I think that Wonderful 101 is a much, much better game than most critics gave it credit for.
And Zombi U is far from "shit", although certainly nowhere close to Wonderful 101, in my opinion. Still, Zombi U was one of my favorite games of 2012.

The Wii U had insane preorder numbers as well. And it had a superb launch period, where it sold about 3 million consoles, or more, if I recall correctly. After that, sales dropped off a cliff.

New Super Mario Bros U doesn't have spectacular graphics by any means, but it's still a good looking game. Although, yeah, it's basically the same graphics as the Wii version, but in HD. That doesn't stop it from being a damn blast to play, though.
