Xeno Chronicles only hit 800 k because that were all the copies that were made. That game is sold out worldwide.
So, there's a chance X can do even better, riding off the relative success of Chronicles.
X is actually my most anticipated game of 2014 by a wide, wide margin. Chronicles was my favorite game of last gen.
Get a Wii U. Plenty of damn fun games to play on it already, with more to come in 2014.
That said, I've had a lot of fun with my PS3 as well, and I don't own a single FPS for it. And I'm pretty sure PS4 and One will build a great library of fun games over time. If you can't find fun games on your console, maybe you need to diversify your games a bit more, try another console (again, maybe Wii U? :P), or quit gaming altogether.
While I perfectly understand your points, I wanted to note that Muramasa can't be considered for its art direction, either, if we're going by your criteria (which I share for the most part). That's because Muramasa was already released for the Wii years ago.
I completely agree with you on Wind Waker. That game actually has my favorite art style of all time, but you're right, that art style was conceived about 10 years ago or more.
However, hav...
Damn, clicked agree when I meant to disagree. I mean, yes, there are still some games pretty void of color today, but for the most part, that stupid grey/brown trend ended quite some time ago. Look at GTAV, Bioshock Infinite and Last of Us, all "serious" games, but pretty colorful. And Nintendo's own games always look like rainbows, lol.
Not even gonna try to reason with you. Marked for trolling. I urge everyone to do the same.
The machine is perfectly operational out of the box, stop trolling. If you only buy retail releases, or are a very, very casual gamer (lots of these out there), 8 to 32 gb is more than enough.
But for the rest of us gamers that buy DLC, and digital games, a 500 GB hdd is at about $50... not $200 like you claim.
Along with the main 3D Mario games.
Agree completely. W101 is not only my favorite game this year, but it has become my favorite game of all time, blowing off Xenoblade from that spot (here's hoping X takes that title back next year). XD
Just a little tip, in case you don't know already: forget about the touch screen inputs. Learn to activate all the powers with the right analog stick, it's the fastest and more precise way to play, and vital to perform quick combos. :)
I have the 8 gb model. Plugged a 2 TB hard drive disc to it. I don't think space is really an issue with the Wii U, pretty much any external hard drive works with it, and they're dirt cheap now.
Wind Waker HD? Yup, I paid those $50 gladly. Remaster or not, it's still one of the best games to play in 2013.
On the other hand, remember Metroid Prime: Trilogy? All three Metroid Prime games in a single package, with the first two reworked for Wii controls, and with widescreen support. All in a superb hard steel case, and for only $30 (when it released).
Pretty hard to top that one.
I know this is only an opinion piece, but... better system? How, exactly?
Power? Nope, we all know the PS4 is more powerful, although in the long run that probably won't matter all that much.
Games? Again, nope. Wii U is, currently, the next (er, current) gen console with the best game library.
That leaves us with... "more OS functions and a far better video editor", according to the article. Don't get me wrong, the more fea...
Lol. XD
I will probably pick it up for the PS4 next year. Along with the PS4. :P
Wonderful 101. All of it. That game is a absurdly long line of epic moments, one right after the other. XD
The Wonderful 101 is a superb Wii U game (actually, my favorite game on Wii U so far, even more so than Mario 3D World).
It's also a third party exclusive game.
And it has sold like shit.
What you say is simply untrue. Stop making excuses.
The Wonderful 101.
That is all.
The level of idiocy on your comment is downright amazing.
1. Out of all the games you listed, only one is a Nintendo title. You can bet your ass that both the PS4 and Xbox One will also have a chunk of shovelware stinkers in their game libraries one year from now, if they don't already.
2. Nintendo is just getting started on the Wii U. You can bet your ass that Nintendo will have the lion's share of the "best of the best" games on the Wii U ...
1. Wii U is $300.
2. Judging by launch sales, the Xbox One is far from "hated". It has sold very well. Yup, Microsoft made a lot of idiotic mistakes regarding the One, but they backtracked on most, if not all, of them, and despite what a minor but very loud segment of gamers may tell you on the internet, the average joe is buying the One and enjoying it.
People love to make that claim because VGChartz doesn't disclose their sources, but neither does NPD, and VGChartz's estimates end up being pretty close to NPD's numbers most of the time, and they constantly revise and correct their estimated sales figures.
In my opinion, they're reliable for the most part. I usually trust their numbers.
And Lego City Undercover, which was published by Nintendo.
And Pikmin isn't exactly stale, seeing how the last entry before Pikmin 3 was more than 10 years ago.
And next year, Nintendo is publishing X and Bayonetta 2, not to mention Hyrule Warriors.
A lot of different things for the Wii U's first 2 years, I think, on top of the usual suspects (Mario Kart, Smash, etc).
