Yeah, it proly will. Theres a bigger install base now as opposed to 2 years ago with COD4. It'll definetly smash DAY ONE sales records. Either way this ill be good for the gaming industry. The fact that a videogame can sell more than any CD, movie, or book says alot about where the entertainment industry will be going in a couple of years.
Spend money on games that you KNOW will be worth it. Im not buyin U2 or MW2 this year and saving my cash for Agent and Starhawk to buy em on day one. Im very happy with my decision. Also, gamers should stop supporting Gamestop. They rip people off so bad their. Another thg is that gamers don't have to pay tax in places like Amazon or Circuitcity.com
Good for PS3 owners. I was planning on buying a 360 this year for the supposedly superior online, but I dont see a point now. Also with the possibility of Valve jumping on PS3, I no longer see a reason to get a 360 anymore.
@mayberry- PS3 exclusives r on a roll yet no one buys em. You do know that multiplats sell better on PS3 than exclusives. Uncharted 2 doesn't spell bad news for the industry. ODST sales and Modern Warfare 2 pre-orders have shown that the AVERAGE consumer doesn't require games to push boundaries. All they want is FUN. If the MAJORITY of people judged games on the boundaries they pushed then Uncharted 2 would be the best selling video-game of all time.
Honestly, Uncharted 2 may influence SOME developers to up their game, but as a whole it won't, AT LEAST not in this generation with an expansion pack...

Old par ur absoulutely right. The people who win this genration are the ones that have BOTH a 360 and PS3. Im actually working a putting my money together to get a the MW2 360 bundle to go along with my ps3. I can have the option to enjoy Uncharted 2, Demon Souls, and Agent when it comes out and ill ALSO have the option to play L4D2, Halo Reach, GTA4 DLC, and Splinter Cell Conviction if it doesnt't make the jump to PS3.
Im still not planning on getting Uncharted 2 this year due to my inevitable addiction to MW2, but im happy that Sony's bringing their A game. Great commercial!! I swear ive seen more PS3 commercials than 360 commercials in the past month. HUGE turn around for Sony! BTW why are the people below me who r curious about U2's sales figures getting disagrees??
