I agree. Far Cry 4, Unity, Captain Toad, Little Big Planet and I just dropped coin on Destiny (regret), Shadow of Mordor and Sherlock Holmes. No one in my family is getting presents this year.

Bingo. Look at the nemesis system in Shadow of Mordor. The game is pretty but not like Crysis was or Ryse. That said, the nemesis is so damn engaging and totally brings a new and fresh approach to how we deal with enemies.
Give me more of that and I'll gladly sacrifice photorealism.
@unholy. But the game isn't fun. It's been gutted and hacked and is the epitome of repetition. The only fun aspect is finding good gear. If that is not happening then there is nothing else worth doing in Destiny.
As I am trading in my copy on Tuesday for Shadow of Mordor (I'm upset at Bungie for other reasons) the 500M budget was not for this game alone. It was for Destiny 1, 2 and 3, all the dlc for each game and for the 2 expansions for each game. Plus, all the marketing for the next 10 years.
That said, bungie telling me in playing the game wrong when I repeat queens mission for ass shard or that having fun at the lot cave is not their vision even though I did Summoning Pits...
Yeah its official, I'm trading this in for Shadow of Mordor on Tuesday. Talking the cave away and the shards of Queens armor is ridiculous. I don't want to do the same damn raids over and over and over again.
Especially on "The Queens" missions.
@ deathof...no, it's not. Charms are useless as is the double home screen. I don't want to use my laptop like a mobile device.
I'm playing every mission on hard with two of my friends. We are 7 hours in and on the second Venus mission. We also explore in between battles. The game is not short by any means.
Ridiculous. I'm half way through Venus and i have a clear understanding what is going on. Great cut scenes and dinklebot narrates as you go. Maybe some listening comprehension classes are in order?
