See illumiroom for the potential that led to this product. Imagine playing a game where bullets can fly through the screen and people could climb out of the tv. First and foremost this product is for productivity and professional use it's game uses are secondary.

@Abizzel

Uncharted did this because you what? Saw drake walk through a crowd. Jump into a jeep and get chased through a foreign city. Lets see how both games final product winds up before you start making these kinds of calls.

@CernaML

Exactly how is the new tomb raider like Uncharted so much? Is it because it had some set pieces? Literally everything else about that game is different. The island is a large back trackable area. The combat is ...

@TwoForce

Uncharted series has some wise cracks and good voice overs from Nolan North and company. Comic relief yes but I don't know about soul. Also that changes absolutely nothing about what I said earlier. One thing is to me the Tomb Raider game played out more like it was about survival. Shes stuck on an island trying to escape a cult. She's trapped there due to supernatural reasons and so she kills people in a variety of ways. My favorite being bow headshot. The ...

They had to change it because the old formula had hit a wall of repetition. This happens to a lot of franchises. God Of War, Assasins Creed, Saints Row, come to mind. You can only take the same formula so far for so many entries before it gets stale. Uncharted has had the same basic gameplay since Day one. Guys run out take cover you shoot them in the head or 2 or 3 times in the chest. If you get close enough a QTE pops up where they swing and you duck and uppercut. Basic melee attacks etc et...

Haha I remember when Uncharted first came out I used to call it "Man Raider". That was how I used to describe it to people whenever they asked. It wasn't until the 2nd one that they upped the ante and added the massive action set pieces and found their groove. Both of these games are going to be great and I'll own both.

If they have a time delay this is fine for the biggest ones. Its the same thing games like GTA do. Same thing movies and television do. ONly on Xbox, Only on Netflix, Only on HBO, etc. Until a lil while down the road when the DVD/PC Version drops. Profit off of the people who want to buy and have now. Then expand your audience once that market is saturated. Its a profitable strategy and it makes sense. Microsoft isn't just Xbox its also Windows for them this is a win win. Hell even if the...

I've never felt this franchise reached its full potential but enjoyed the last two entries quite a bit. I hope they keep trying new things with the series and maybe we will see what happens.

They had plenty of other choices but they put it to us the fans and feedback and we wanted it and its a hell of a boon.They could just ignore it and create a streaming service like Sony and let all our purchased digital content die with the PS3 but they didn't. The people this matters to far outnumber and outweigh the nay sayers.

Still playing Dragon Age 2 this moment so I can play Inquisition. After this I have to play the Witcher 2 so I can play the Witcher 3. I paid for these games and I intend to play them. Like green says and I've said before in other threads on here the graphical leap this time wasn't huge. For those of us with huge backlogs this is a wonderful thing. You guys keep arguing using PS3 as your example. It is simply not the same thing PS2 games looked horrible on HD tvs. Also were coming off...

I've had every good game on every system for years. Not surprisingly because I work a living and have a life I have yet to beat or even play many of them. Many of them who are getting sequels on Next Gen consoles continuing their story. So yes this means a lot to people like me and make no mistake there are a lot of people like me. Its also common sense that you'd want to keep all of your digital licenses for retail games and digital only games that are only getting the port treatment...

These games don't need a remaster. I'm playing Dragon Age 2 now on 360 a slight graphical upgrade wouldn't change anything gameplay wise. Hurry up and approve it EA.

How in the blue HELL does a special edition get canceled one week before launch. WTF????

Man looking at this comment thread is madness. BC is a wonderful thing period. Yes the publishers can say no but then the internet crucifies them for being greedy. Seriously if I purchased Dragon Age 2 digitally I should be able to play it on the new console with BC. It feels like a no brainer but I forsee at least one publisher being stubborn. If they want to remake it that is something entirely different and would definitely have sales merit if done right.

Ditto I have a huge 360 backlog that I'm still working through. The big difference between Ps2 and Ps3 is the huge leap in graphics. This time were jumping from HD console generation to HD console generation. Yes some of the games look way better in current gen but its not nearly the jump it was before. So I actually spend a pretty decent amount of time on my 360 and Ps3. For me to have access to all of my games and all of the digital content I paid for is an absolute boon. There is NO do...

Look lets go back to Horizon Killzone is and always was the poor mans Halo and it never really succeeded and now its dead. So lets all move on. That's coming from someone who played and enjoyed Killzone: Shadowfall at launch and just finished Mercenary of Vita. It was the defintion of a "Me Too" FPS Action game. I'm glad they are finally going their own way and making a new IP that looks incredible. I was actually looking forward to a Killzone sequel to shadowfall but make n...

Same here hell I'm making my way up the Chrysler building on Vita. This is one of my all time favorites. None of the sequels ever did it true justice or had epic scale of the first one. Something about New York and the holiday season. Man I would love a remake.

I don't think it got as much flack as it did because of it being exclusive. It got that flack because it had no campaign and so few modes and weapons. The game was good but lacking in content until after a few rounds of dlc. It was a a half assed launch and they blame it's failure in it being an exclusive but the next a WILL have a campaign because they learned that lesson. It will also be multi platform but it could have easily sold well under the right circumstances.

Again this isn't just about old retail games. It is about the digital licenses purchased for digital games, HD remakes, XBLA exclusives, EVERYTHING. If you just want to move on and leave all your money behind more power to you.
