Agreed, but I believe this study is only a small sample of a larger more detailed study that you have to purchase. It does reek of bias just by looking at this though.
Nearly all software is shipped with know issues. This isn't new and its actually taught in schools.

I'd imagine it could have an effect on potential game sales. Multiplayer is a huge criteria for gamers now before making a purchase and if they see that nobody is playing it online then it might influence their decisions. That's why I would guess.

Meh from what I've invested into my console vs what I'd have to invest to play it on PC, I'm a happy camper. I feel bad for console gamers that were duped into spending over $600 to build a soon-to-be-obsolete machine just to play BF3 on PC with slightly better graphics.
