Vita is my second most played system, i recently got lots of games for it and im actually digging it alot.
Vita is getting bashed because the supposed lack of mainstream aaa games (which i don't care about).
If a game's good, i'll play it weather its aaa or not. but most gamers don't care about mid budget/indie games.
A game has to get a huge marketing and has some sort movie like gameplay for them to deem it as a "game"

One advice: the answer is Nocturne level of difficulty, its really tedious in the beginning, but once you start getting the good Personas, it starts getting pretty fun.
The ending alone was pretty worth it for me.

The Mosou series in general focuses on gameplay.
You can keep your shiny graphics with shallow gameplay.
