My comprehension is just fine, can you ever comment without being rude and making insults, seriously like whats your problem? His comment speaks to a lack of confidence period and games that aren't well received shouldn't be around regardless, if a company keeps shoveling out mediocre poorly received games we shouldn't be ok with that. 'Hey its ok no one really liked it cause there's just going to be another here before you know it.' That's definitely a quantity ov...
Doesn't change anything about the headline, his comment makes it sound like a lack of confidence in a very important IP for Xbox. In fact I was recently told on this very site that Halo is their biggest franchise and if the guy who runs the company has to make a comment concerning rather it might not be well received that doesn't bode well at all. Phil should be more confident in whats coming soon to his platform, instead he's talking about years from now as usual.
"even if the upcoming game is not well received."
Well that's disconcerting, doesn't sound like he's very confident if he's making comments like that, sounds like they're trying to get out ahead of some expected unkind reviews and discontent,
This would actually see Sony not making money, explain to everyone how this is "greed" exactly. How is it you get away with posting comments like this?
Yeah and those guys never bad mouthed Sony, guess they must have made games people actually liked.
A Plague Tale, awesome!
For all your comments?
Well apparently you thought wrong.
List the actual game series you lost on xbox because Sony acquired a dev, not theoretical ones that the company might have made but actual series you lost on xbox because of the purchase.
If your list doesn't look like,
Doom
Elder Scrolls
Fallout
Wolfenstein
etc.
then don't bother.
Yeah cause this compares to the Zenimax acquisition, right? What established long running multiplat from Housemarque are you going to loose on your xbox?
What long term multiplat from Housemarque is this acquisition keeping off your xbox? If you struggle to see the difference between this purchase and MS buying Zenimax and taking away long established multiplats like The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Doom, Wolfenstein, etc. from a player base that had those games for decades then that's on you. Your myopic view of the situation aside there is a huge difference.
"I mean they were already basically a Playstation studio."
Which is why people were right when they said Sony fosters long term relationships with closely partnered developers before making a decision to acquire, as apposed to swooping in and spending billions to buy developers who have been multiplat for decades taking away games from a portion of the gaming community.
So now acquisitions suddenly don't matter?
Playstation Studios is just getting better and better. Next up Bluepoint.
No reason not to like it, its amazing.
Then go pay for game pass. I have Miles Morales and Rift Apart and paid about ten bucks between the two of them, there are such things as gift cards, discounts, sales and for the real thrifty borrow from a friend. Smart people will know how to save if they don't want to spend $70 on a game. Again this argument is pointless.
This is a discussion about a PC operating system, pretty sure most Playstation gamers myself included are fine with windows running on their PC's and have been for decades, so actually its you that seems triggered. Please calm down and stop trolling.
Nooooooooooooooooooooo I just finally started using Windows 10 last year. LOL.
Its not "anti consumer" to charge for new content.
