What I would say is why does the metric need to change for xbox, If NPD is fine reporting units sold for Nintendo and Sony why do we need a different representation for xbox? Furthermore NPD is an American market research company, are we just going to pretend Sony hasn't sold far more consoles than xbox outside the U.S. If we look at it world wide like we should that gap in sales might as well be the Grand Canyon.
