@Deadreckoning
If the amount of dollars determined what the best was...that would mean Avatar is unarguably the greatest movie ever made...but is it really?
I agree. This year is pretty ridiculous in terms of sheer quality that could lead to a GOTY nod. I think this is the year with the most GOTY worthy titles ever, IMO.
Solid review...I'm really enjoying this game, it's just too bad it was so short.
You guys are both correct/incorrect.
Killzone 2 and Gears of War were both shown and announced at E3 2005. That means they both released as "gritty" styled games with an emphasis on online play with their own merits.
With that said, both games stand on their own and you can't say Gears gets credit just because it released first...both were in development at the same time and both were shown off at the same time.
Where is it traveling to?
You can send an email to jobs [@] playstationuniversity dot com with a writing sample...the team will go over it.
Well, every console usually has that one game that people reminisce about playing. I was stuck between BioShock, Mass Effect and Halo: Reach and when we broke it down together, Reach just offered so much rich content that wasn't going to be available anywhere else, so it just made sense.
We also didn't want to list 10 games, because that would be a little over the top and unlikely...so we tried to stick with just 5.
Lol -- What?
Multiplayer isn't a full game, so how can you even add that to an article like this? lol
LOL Exactly.
Did you even read the article? Seriously?
LOL Funny enough, my mom actually loved Bubsy 3D when I was a kid. She used to play it all the time.
I completed it. Still was disappointed.
Really? It's a relatively new IP still, IMO. Despite the trilogy wrapping up next year in April, I think Cliff B & Co have done a fantastic job with the series. I don't play it online much, but I felt both Gears of War and Gears of War 2 were engaging enough to the point where I played them through to the end.
I'm actually looking forward to playing the final title next year.
Thanks Albel,
I completely forgot about Nier...I added it into the article within the SE section as well.
And, I understand not everyone is going to hold the same opinion. However, as someone who loved SE titles all of the way up until this generation -- I've just felt very let down by them this time around.
Dragon Quest IX isn't on one of the listed consoles, Dark. I did not include portable gaming into the piece, just console gaming.
I hope you're joking.
EDIT: Never mind, you edited it...or not.
This article is ridiculous. You can pick up a Samsung 3DTV for $1,250 on Amazon.com
It's not anymore expensive than a standard HDTV that is any good.
I love how CVG tries to act as though it's only "American" kids who do this. What a joke.
Lost a little respect for them with this article.
@10th
Sorry man... Our website tends to stick to just console gaming, so we don't really involve the PC. It helps leave out all sorts of arguments, lol.
