I tried to only utilize exclusives that are clearly driving the PlayStation 3 not only in numbers, but in actual installments. I think there is a good reason you see each of these games on their third installment on the console while the only other titles with three or more are sports games.
@PlayerX
I'm under the strong impression that most people who buy Nintendo Wiis generally only purchase Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit... Sales of every other title are very mediocre when comparing it to the install base that the Wii has.
It's also why it has the lowest attach rate.
@Reman
Though you're right about the characters constantly being recycled, Nintendo has still done a fantastic job delivering exclusive titles to fans of its franchises.
I agree fully, Chaos. You can tell that the first-party and exclusive third-party developers really take the extra time to figure things out.
Lol right.
@DeadReck
Incorrect. I did not group 35+ million people into a category... I simply said that the majority of these overreactions have taken place by PlayStation 3 owners.
If there is 50 people in a room and 45 own PS3s and 5 on Xbox 360s and the only people upset about something is 39 PlayStation 3 owners -- then generally, PlayStation 3 owners are creating the overreaction.
I didn't lump anyone together...definitely didn't say &quo...
Wow. This is arguably the worst article I have ever seen... For starters, the official cover art for Tiger Woods 12 HAS been released...If it hadn't, how the hell would you guys know he's not on the cover? Second of all, Tiger Woods IS featured all over the Collector's Edition cover front and center.
That's right, not only is Tiger Woods on one of the revealed covers, but they've released two cover-arts already!
Way to keep up GR
@poopface
Are you as ignorant as the guy above you? Red Dead Redemption is not a PlayStation 3 exclusive title. In fact, our forum community has a decently active Xbox 360 section.
That goes without mentioning that our forum staff has more pro-360 guys on it than pro-PS3 guys.
Seriously, the ignorance of the both of you is astounding and it's why the gaming community is often laughed at by non-gamers.
Grow up.
Are you really this ignorant?
We polled our forum members...this was the result. We weren't Spike TV, we didn't just ignore all Wii titles entirely.
Try reading first, Si-Fly. The poster I replied to, posted that GameSpot would not making any money if they offered more than half the value for trade-ins. That's simply not true.
If GameStop offered more than half, they would do exponentially more business and thus receive more foot traffic in their stores. It's the same principle as a weekly sales ad...You take a small hit on one item because people who show up are likely to buy other merchandise. Stores have been d...
GameStop would make a ton of cash if they bought the game back at 65% of resale price. It would also push more people to trade in and purchase from their store.
You're comparing the lifespan of a $60 product to a $10,000 product? I'd hope one serves a purpose longer.
The 50%+ drop off is absurd. I like to use online trading sites or sites like Glyde.
I think it really depends if you're into MMOs or not. Obviously paying $50 for the retail package and then paying $15/m after is something to consider in terms of if it is worth it or not.
I never had this issue -- but I sent their support an email to see if this is a reoccurring issue with the game or not.
Lol Simmer down.
AC:B had some fantastic trailers too.
Wow, I completely forgot about BioShock Infinite, myself. That trailer was pretty crazy too.
I agree, I think their development teams are very talented on a world wide scale.
