The review is legit.
@Estranged
I'd agree with your statement if Sony had made it mandatory for all PSP games to have a digital counterpart (like the Trophy argument). The problem is, Sony hasn't given any such mandate to third-party PSP developers. It's entirely up to them. Considering Sony has said that "most" are on board, that means some aren't. So in the end, some games aren't going to be playable by Go owners. That's the problem I have with the situation.
Not sure if you know how business works, but companies redesign products to benefit the sale of that product once it hits retail. Kind of like what the PS3 Slim did for the PS3 sales overall. Just like the NDSi did for Nintendo. Just like the Elite did for 360.
It has nothing to do about "choice." Your response is entirely irrelevant to what is even being discussed in the editorial. Gamers have choice, but choice isn't what is being discussed. What is being discussed i...
This would make sense if netbooks weren't cheaper and designed for an entirely different usage point than actual full on laptops.
Terrible comparison.

Please keep up. There has already been 4-6 PSP games released since October 1st that are NOT on the PlayStation Store for download on the PSPgo. One of those games being the latest Naruto title from Namco Bandai. Namco has stated that they have no plans to distribute it digitally. So that means Go owners will NEVER get to play that game.
If you can't see this issue here, you're blind. We're a PlayStation site and this is relevant to the PlayStation brand. It fit...
Well, I thought it was only fair that if I'm taking an entire generation of gaming into account, I have to give credit to all developers who put time and effort into delivering their product. I'll always be a gamer first before anything else. While the site I run is ps3-centric, it's only because that's the console I play on most, so I feel most comfortable covering it as a whole.
Yeah, it's really hard to nail it down to 8, but I wanted to stay with the "Top 8" trend that I've established for my lists thus far.
I would have liked to add about 5-7 more developers, lol.
5/8 develop for the PS3 -- three have done so exclusively on the games mentioned pretty much. I think it has a strong enough PS3 focus.
Trialing Microtransactions? I don't know if you were born yesterday or not, but microtransactions have been going on in the online F2P MMO world for years. This isn't anything new. They're not the first to do it and they won't be the last.
@Suicidal
Then I guess I'll have to think of something else!
I'll write a Top 8 Games that Deserve a Sequel tomorrow for you ;)
So -- This either means that you want us to die after about 147 other sites do or we're too low of a priority to worry about.
Either one is cool ;)
Actually, I write them because I enjoy writing them. I also enjoy seeing how other people would change a list or what titles they'd include themselves. Not everything has to be hardcore news, trailers, reviews and previews.
Lightened discussion about gaming topics like this are a nice change of pace and create good discussion sometimes. If it's not your cup of tea, just don't read it. You're obviously not the demographic I'm trying to reach with my Top 8 lists. They're not for ev...
I was going to include Pokemon, but wanted to really limit this to console-specific titles -- and felt Pokemon is more of a handheld production (though I know they do have some console titles).
Final Fantasy wasn't included because of the fact each game could be titled differently and it would still sell and make sense. If FF was 15 continuous sequels with the same characters like the titles mentioned in the list, it would have came in at #1 or #2 easily.
Wow Mastiff, no clue why but I completely let Resident Evil slip my mind. I couldn't agree more. I felt the same way as you about the last two titles. They changed the franchise entirely and while both were good games in their own right, they didn't feel like "Resident Evil" anymore.
When Microsoft sends you a replacement console for your RROD (I've had 4 die on me, I know first hand about this), it's usually a different console with a closer date to what date it currently is. So that allows you to keep the 3-year warranty from that date and so on.
It's a never ending cycle. The console is terrible in its hardware, but the warranty itself is very user friendly (despite being forced to have) and that's what counts, IMO.
The three year warranty is free.
Did you even read the entire piece? Lol. I'm not complaining about the 1-year policy being 1-year.
You obviously don't remember the PlayStation 2 and the entire DRE issue that created -- right? There was no extended warranty for that, nor did Sony fix consoles for free that had that issue. They told you to go buy another console. This has been Sony's M.O. for awhile now in terms of consumer loyalty. Discussing failure rates is irrelevant when discussing previous generations.
@Jay
I write Top 8 lists for my site all of the time. It's not because I'm lazy though, it's because I like to do it and I like to promote actual discussion through disagreement and other's opinions. I think the list method is one of the best ways to create that type of discussion whether it happens in the comment section here or on the site.
However, I also don't score the reviews I write. I force users to read the content in order to find out if the game is good o...
