@Apophis
No, i dont even have one, probably wont get one either now that the NGP has been announced. Just pointing out the facts to s blind psp fanboy.
No it cant, the psp doesnt't have anywhere near the power to emulate ps1, n64, or DS games. throw on wine and the pandora can even emulate older pc games. not to mention dual analogs, touch screen, 800x600 res instead of the psp's 480x272, linux and 10x the hardware.
That doesn't make it a failure, A dictionary might help you in this case but ill go ahead and try to explain it myself anyways. If a game earns its developer a profit, then it is not a failure by any accurate use of the word. A crap game, possibly, but not a failure.
Actually any true gamer would be able to see the benefits of the ps3 controller, its the fanboys that refuse to accept the technical superiority of it.
While i agree the 360 controller is more comfortable, there is a reason sony chose to make the DS3's analogs convex instead of concave, Answer: function vs comfort.
With convex sticks, you're thumbs don't need to move as far for the base of the stick to move the same distance, making them more precise. Also they are...
Why not? As long as the house is still standing and the power is still on. If im busy and an earthquake hits, the earthquake can wait its damn turn.
The 120m sold was after more than 10years on the market. the PS3 has only been around for a little over 4 years so far and its already at around 48m sold. assuming it continues to sell as well as it has been. 48+48+24=120 so it is a possibility.
Remove FFVII & VIII from the list completely, replace them with tekken 4 and twisted metal 3. then move legend of dragoon and FFIX down to 1st and 2nd respectively.
1: There is no TOS when purchasing the hardware, only when you create an account on psn. legally that means that it can only apply to psn. Geohotz never made a psn account so the TOS doesn't apply to him.
2: CFW isn't necessarily illegal, If it is created from scratch and not modified from the pre existing system software, then it is legal. When you purchase a computer from the store with windows already installed, there is nothing illegal about REMOVING windows from ...
@badz149 Yes i realize that, what i meant by randomly generated is the initial creation of the key. sony doesn't pick out a specific set of numbers and letter for the code then copyright it. its randomly generated then applied to the systems and games code. Its not copywriten, nor can it ever legally be, as is the nature of the code. I didn't mean that its randomly generated by each individual PS3.
Edit: Note that the root key is stored locally on each PS3, not on son...
You clearly don't understand what Geohot has actually done with this hack, nor do you understand the law. there is no point for me to continue arguing with you. you are ignorant and naive and refuse to comprehend the facts.
The root key is not copywriten. its a simple section of randomly generated numbers and letters that the system uses to see if the software is signed by sony as an official product. they don't legally own any part of it. Sony has not even claimed copyright violation in the case yet. they are suing for control just as apple tried to sue when people jailbroke the iphone to be used with other carriers than apple doesn't get any money back from. Please take you're own advice and learn ...
Saying "hacking would be okay if it only led to people doing harmless things" is like trying to accuse internet providers of making hacking tools just because the internet can be used that way. Geohot is hacking for homebrew, not piracy. If someone chooses to use the provided root key or jailbreak code to pirate games, that is the individual persons actions.
Any true gamer would support homebrew, its piracy that we don't support. Geohot winning this case may create some ...
@anyone who disagreed with DrillaKid, you should probably try actually looking at the review before you make yourselves look like idiots by disagreeing with a fact.

Edge gave uncharted 2 a 9/10
And this time before you make even further fools out of yourselves by disagreeing with me also, atleast look at the r...
Gamers this gen really are pathetic. MGS1 took a little over 4 hours to complete, skipping cutscenes, and nobody ever complained it was too short. yet this gen it seems to be all anyone cares about next to graphics. What ever happened to people enjoying a game for its gameplay and story, now it seems you all act like movie critics, searching through the game with a magnifying glass looking for any little thing to fault it for and completely ignoring everything good about the game in the proce...
Super Mario RPG
@smacktard Yes they still own the IP which is why you cannot sell it for profit, but as they are no longer profiting off it themselfs it is impossible for them to claim any form of infringement/damages and therefore legal to download for personal use.
No it isn't, Once a game has been off store shelfs for more than 6 years its considered abandonware and can be downloaded and played freely. you still cannot sell it though.
Edit: Just noticed, as Persistantthug said, the remakes of it were still available more recently which means the company has recently profited off the ip so it may or may not be legal to dl the original. Hard to say for sure in this case.
@Kreyg, It doesn't work that way, federal law supersedes any company policy. A company cannot write whatever they please in a policy and expect to get away with violating business practice & consumer rights laws.
If Target did refuse to honor that deal then technically they could be sued for the full MSRP of a new PS3, as well as reported for false advertising.
Legally no, in both the U.S and canada once you have confirmed a purchase and or payed any amount of money towards the product they cant change the price but they probably will try anyway. big name companies usually don't care about the law unless its someone else breaking it and adversely effecting them.
@Pedobear rocks, yes but the pre-order money automatically goes towards payment of the product once the store has it in stock which make it a legal payment. technically...
Even still, how can you call the pandora a piece of crap when it can do everything the psp can do and do it better plus has dual analogs, higher screen res, touch screen, linux, a proper web browser and a 10+ hour battery life?
