My launch 60GB has been upgraded with a 1TB HDD and it works fine after the update, so it isn't all PS3s over 500GB.
As for Sony, maybe they are removing it based on the assumption that it is affecting all PS3's over 500GB, it would be standard practice to temporarily recall any firmware that has this kind of report just to make sure that there isn't anything in it that would affect larger drives.
They will most likely re-release it unchanged with...
That is why i added the ?, wasn't a statement lol just curious. He could just have bad taste in games.
Nintendo fanboy? numbers 5, 9, 10 are the only bad games on that list.
A failed update doesn't automatically mean there was something wrong with the update data.
There are various reason why an update could fail, a bios flashing issue is the most likely.
As i said above, the fact that only some people are having bricked systems vs everyone, proves that it isn't the update data.
1+1 always equals 2 no matter what you calculate it on, if the code in the update is bad, its bad, it will brick every system it...
Use some common sense here people, if it was the firmware itself that was messed up, then every PS3 it is installed on would brick, not just some.
The problem is most likely an old bios chip that cannot handle the reflash, the same thing happens with PCs.
The fact that there are reports like this for absoutely every firmware update that has ever been released for the PS3 pretty much proves my point.
Fortunately the US is the only country that allows corporations to take away peoples legal rights. In Canada and most other countries, this ToS wouldn't hold up in court. And the attempt to have it would most likely provide legal grounds to sue MS/Sony for even more.
Probably because he released info about the Xbone 6 months before it was announced, all of which turned out to be completely accurate.
That and the fact that he was arrested by the feds for leaking information about it, which would not have happened if what he said was false.
The overall answer is, common sense.
@Godmars290:
Since when is FFXII an MMO?
I think you need to look it up lol, you are confusing it with something else.
IV
VI
IX
XII
PS2 visuals in 1080p
I'd be fine with that.
I admit IX with XIIIs visuals would be awesome but it would probably take squeenix 20 years to do it, knowing them.
Yes FFXII, it is a great game.
It's nice that you can say which is better out of 2 games that have yet to be released, but for the rest of us who cannot see the future, no spoilers please.
Called the Xbone because Kinect records you getting undressed and sends it to the FBI for "operation crotch watch"
The database of worlds largest and smallest wood will be more accurate than ever now.
10 person sharing on Xbone is a limit not a feature, also only 1 of those 10 people can play the game at a time. PS4 you can share retail games with as many people as you want.
Xbone you cant share digital games at all, even the PS3 you could share digital games with 5 people and all of them could play it at the same time.
@Smashbro29:
Actually "Fail" can be a verb or a noun.

looks good, but if you are trying to say it looks better than FFXV, try harder.
The texture resolution alone on FFXV is leagues better.
@PFFT:
Actually it has been widely known for a couple weeks now, and started on a pro-Xbox website.
Someone leaked info from MS that they were downclocking the GPU by 100mhz to solve issues with overheating.
I admit i'm a little disappointed but its not too bad in context. You will still be getting free games monthly.
XB1 is also now giving out 2 free games each month with Gold. Atleast we aren't still paying for JUST online play, actually some substance to the fee.
$5/month you get
-2 free games/month on XBL, random number on PSN (Usually atleast 2/month)
-Video sharing
-Ustream/Twitch
Long as you don'...
Crap i think i just busted a nut, laughing so hard.
More powerful hardware
No archaic DRM, No anti-used.
$100 cheaper
Game, Set, Match.
MS just recieved the worst beating in E3 history.
The PS3 is only actually about 25-30m behind what the PS2 sold in the same time.
The 153m figure for the PS2 wasn't reached until march 2012, 12 years after its initial launch and over 11 years after launching in NA.
The PS3 has only been out for a little over 6.5 years so far.
