Oh great, another troll stating opinion as fact. They do play everything perfectly. The Retron 5 took so long to release partly because Hyperkin was trying to get 100% compatability. They sent out beta units to hundreds of gamers who combined had every game for all the systems and they were all tested and fixed where needed. The system also has updatable firmware via an SD card slot. So on the off chance that some obscure game has a minor issue still, it can be easily patched.
It has HD enhancements and it may end up having online play also, Hyperkin hasn't stated anything one way or another about that yet.
@Candy:
That would end badly for Naruto.
5 minutes to rip a game so that you get hours and hours of playtime with vastly better visuals, is a waste of time? The difference is alot bigger than just a resolution bump.
Also alot of people download movies illegaly on PCs, does that mean that PCs should be illegal and nobody should be allowed to own computers, because obviously computers are only for movie pirates right? It is human nature to take advantage of things and do the most they can with what they have. The fact...
It does work through emulation and it does have an SD slot. The SD slot is currently software locked though so it can only be used for save files and firmware updates. CFW could potentially unlock it though.
Using the original controller and cart is the ONLY way to go for serious retro gamers. The Retron 5 provides that. The Retron 5 also does everything that PC emulation does.
Why not take the time to learn about emulation rather than ignorantly assuming it can only be used for pirating/cracking?
Emulation can also be used for playing games you actually own, at higher resolution and framerates with texture filters. Try playing FFXII at 3840x2880 at 75fps with 8x AA, 16x AF, V-Sync and more. All the games i play on PCSX2 i own the disks for and have ripped myself using DVD Decrypter.

I am already running most games on PCSX2 at 3840x2880 at 70-80fps and my system was mid-high end when i built it over 4 years ago.
Based on actual technical capabilities. That is why i said it actually takes coding also. Obviously it isn't plug and play. There are potentially 100k+ lines of code that need to be created, these emulators typically only have 5 or 6 people tops working on them on their free time. So yeah, it takes time.
PCs can already theoretically emulate the PS4 but someone has to actually crack and interpret the PS4s firmware and then create the emulator, which takes time. Given the ...
There is nothing "lost cause" about it. It just takes time to program. It took more than 5 years after the PS2s firmware was cracked and fully understood before PCSX2 was running well, and Cell is alot further from x86 than EE was.
From a purely technical standpoint, modern high end PCs could already emulate the PS3 6-7 times over. But it still needs to be coded.
Should be doing the comparison with the cars stopped so you can actually see all the detail. These are all motion shots and it is obvious that DC has less motion blur. You cannot even see the tire tread in those PCars shots, while they are fully visible on all the previous community screens. Motion shots like these will almost always give a win to the game with the least amount of motion blur since more detail will remain visible. Either use out of motion screens or set the motion blur on the...
Most of the times i have seen "how it looks like" have been from article headlines.

@Ermac_Wins:
Doesn't matter, that isn't how series numbering works. There have only been 4 numbered MK games (MK1, MK2, MK3, MK4) spinoffs and side names do not count towards numbering. MK9 also was not actually called Mortal Kombat 9 by the devs, it was simply called Mortal Kombat. The 9 was added by fans.
The next MK game will either have a unique name like most of the rest, or it will be called MK5.
MK10 when there have only been 4 numbered MK games so far? That would be impressive.
Super Mario RPG
It is just like when people say "how it looks like". Drives me nuts. Using "how" and "like" together in that context is redundant. It should be "how it looks" or "what it looks like".
So many illiterates on this site.
$130 for that...toy? It isn't even mechanical. for $10 more you can get a Vengence K95 which is a massively superior board.
Meh. Not really all that impressed. I already have Oblivion looking that good using TPC, AEVWD, TES4LODGEN, ATE-ENB and a few .ini tweaks.
That video was running 30x timelapse.
Because it is on Youtube. Youtube limits all videos to 30fps.
