According to MS, it is a souped up XB1. They said it would be fully cross compatible. All current XB1 games will work on the Scorpio and all Scorpio games will work on the XB1. The XB1 has only been out for 2.5 years so far and Scorpio is planned for a holiday 2017 release. That will be 4 years total since the XB1 launched. Way too soon for a completely new console/generation.
Because Scorpio will not be $299. It is a high spec option, not a replacement. By the time Scorpio releases, the standard XBO Slim will probably have dropped to $250, and the Scorpio will launch at $449-499.

The 1080 runs at 9TF. The Titan X is only 7TF. The higher amount of ram may allow it to run higher resolutions like 4k a bit better (Hard to say for sure given the massive performance boost of the new GDDR5X ram used in Pascal. It may balance things out) but at 1080p/1440p, the 1080 will destroy the Titan X.
Pokemon made in GTA style would be better.

It will be possible eventually. EPSXE & PCSX2 both support playing games directly from the disks.
Now if only they added Terraria/Minecraft elements to it. Being able to dig down and explore underground on any planet, gather resources and equipment, level and gain skills like an RPG and build houses/cities/etc.

This is a pro card. It is not designed for gaming.
Nvidia's Pascal GPU which should be releasing this year, is rumored to operate at 12TF, and their Volta line which is scheduled for 2018 is suppose to be atleast twice as powerful as Pascal according to Nvidia's charts.
The combat system in 10-2 is the only part of the game i do not like. It is way too fast and chaotic, you do not have time to plan anything.

I could write a 2 page list of good games for them also. But 90% of those good games are on the 3DS. Never said the 3DS was bad but there is a reason why the WiiU has very little 3rd party support and time for time has sold worse than the Dreamcast.
