So much for the kiddy switch.
Good for you that you dont care about all the other exclusives PS has had.
If you dont like those types of games then that is absolutely fine, and it seems highly likely that if you are into the exclusives other consoles offer, you are better of with them that with PS.
But please dont try and play this as "only one of them remotely appealed to me and most gamers..." You dont speak for most gamers, and sales figures for all the others exclusives beg to di...
I got it just before the weekend (my local game store usually lets us pick up copies a few days early) and boy are you guys and gals in for a treat :D :D
I don't really care about the sport, but it's nice that devs put in an effort for the fans to create good sports games (instead of just yearly rehashes)
94 on both metacritic and opencritic with close to 30 reviews.
Hope this gets Atlus the recognition they deserve and cant wait to pick up my copy next week!
Yeah I actually looked at that data before posting, but I highly doubt that their "typical" demographic is the same as their examples. Or a large portion of their "gamers" would be over 50 years old.
The actual data can be bought for a few thousand dollars, apparently.
Looks fun. I do fear that splatoon is one of the games that will be hit the hardest once a subsciption is needed to play online matches later this year.
Not to be a jerk, but without any info on demographics/sample size this bar chart tells us very little.
Because they can and people buy it?
For me it's a convenience thing, and I usually buy stuff on digital sales.
First reports have the new DLC at a much more substantial playtime even for just the main parts!
I feel the same way. Ori is for sure a game I would love to play.
I do not care much for racers or fps, so although I am sure forza/GoW are great, if I wanted to play those I would have bought an Xbox instead of a ps4.
Born by the blood... made men by the blood... undone by the blood.
Gets a whole new meaning in this context!
It's pretty difficult to "patch" animations though, considering the sheer amount of work good animation takes.
I loved playing them on PS2, and would love to play them again. For me its just the principle of not supporting low-effort releases. These issues should have been glaringly obvious before release.
I will still end up playing them, but I will just hold off until a sale.
So, I see two different kinds of approaches to platinums:
-Those that just require you to explore all of the game
-Those that reward high skill level
Examples for the first one are like Bloodborne and HZD, for the second its more like Shovel knight (speedruns, no hit runs etc).
I guess it depends on what you like, personally I like the first one more, since the second ones are generally not less tedious (since it basically has...
So did HZD though.
I am just hoping the platinum theme also has the HZD theme music with it, since that is one of my favorite themes for a PS4 menu.
Well that sucks :/ I was gonna get it day one but I won't support shitty releases. If these issues persist I will simply hold out for a sale.
IX is also my favorite, I really didnt like VIII all that much
That golden armor looks amazing :o
My thoughts exactly. Some games might be great but can be finished in two hours (Journey comes to mind), other might be bad but a "full playthrough" could vary from 30-100 hours depending on playstyle.
Maybe just keep 2h as a standard and shorter time for significantly shorter games (like 1h if a game takes less than 5h to beat)?
