Really, their top rated final fantasy is XII at number 97? No chrono trigger? No secret of mana? Far cry 4 at no. 55?
Obviously such a list can never be fully objective, but this list makes no sense at all.
The paper goes a lot more in depth than that, it basically shows that you can enhance specific brain functions through playing video games and that this effect is so pronounced it even shows up on brain scans.
The real shame here is that clickbait sites don't actually read and/or understand it but just copy headlines from one another.

Agreed, without some sort of trade-in system the upgrade is only worth it for those with money to spare and expensive television-sets.
The rumor is based on just a reddit post though, and apparently there is a game that fits the description quite closely (Absolver its called I think). Time will tell, not too long now :)
But good games generally follow where to people are, and right now the market share for vr is too small to make big invetsments on vr titles.

Still feel it is one of the more underrated FF, especially since it neatly combines turn/based and active combat.

You can say what you want about Nintendo, but they make some excellent games.
Don't own a switch myself, but usually buy their consoles at the end of their lifespan when I can pick it and their greatest games up for cheap.
Well I hope for all gamers that MS will make good on their promises for more games, those invested in it deserve the support. And ultimately competition is good for the business and quality of games, which benefits us all!
