@Mythicninja well I paid $70 and I still expect better.
He is clearly struggling to stay relevant in an internet age when anyone can make a Youtube video and do what he does. He just made an entire demographic that is completely out of his grasp and comprehension turn on their heads and say his name.
@CDzNutts Way to miss the point completely. I'd waste my time in breaking it down for you, but it's clear you are incapable of comprehending simple English. Thanks for playing, though.
They are in excess and abundance because that is what people want to play. Supply and demand. When I want mindless fun of the non-violent persuasion, I throw in a LEGO game or Minecraft. There are options there. But companies are going to appeal to what the market dictates.
If someone creates a beautiful story that provides the excapism necessary to capture the minds of the masses, people will buy it regardless of the context.
Even though I liked it for the most part, I did generally call it the "best looking bad game ever," because there was definitely some frustration involved.
I liked Syndicate, and I would have played it more if more of my friends bought it. It was actually really well made and extremely challenging, but I don't like playing co-op with random people so I didn't get to play nearly as much as I thought I would. Now it has kind of gotten lost in the shuffle.
What if you went to a movie that was advertised as being the latest Pixar film of greatness and you get to the end and it is hardcore porn? Or how about you go see a horror movie and the last 10 minutes is Dora the Explorer?
There is a responsibility in advertising. It's the reason a car dealership can't say their vehicle has a V6 engine in it because they drew a V6 on it with a marker.
And this wasn't "legal action." A simple Google s...
I think you are wrong here. Good for her. She's a human being too. And clearly a gamer that cares. So yeah, good for her.
No remote? I know part of the picture is cut out but it doesn't look like there is room for a remote in the picture.
You know what I would absolutely love? I would LOVE to be able to put Mass Effect 3 in my disc drive and play the game. For at least a month now, every time I try, it gets stuck trying to log in to the game endlessly. I know there were other people with the same problem. It would be awesome if they could go ahead and fix that.
@Graham5571 OK fine! All changed. For $50 you get the four expansions you don't have yet netting you a savings of $10.
Easier to understand now? Great!
I can see where that rationale makes total sense. Especially here.
So you're mad you already got Back To Karkand free and you're going to get it free again? Makes the utmost sense.
The DLC says you get "all five DLC's" and one of the five is Back To Karkand. DICE has rationalized this as it being a good deal for people that have not purchased it and still a $10 discount for those that already have Back To Karkand.
It's obviously a PR move in a way, but realistically, people just buying the game now are in fact getting the full effect of the discount, where people that already got the first expansion free ONLY save $10.
Aren't we over-analyzing here? They should have called it LEGO DC Super Heroes or something like that, but since they've already done LEGO Batman before, they just milked the Batman name and threw a 2 on it. At the end of the day, it's a LEGO game. Do you really play it for an immersive story?
I guarantee there isn't going to be a single person out there worried that Batman didn't get enough shine.
This list paid for by _____.
Brutal choices for winners. Almost like they threw darts at a wall and picked whatever it landed on... or got paid for it.
The article talks about how he made around "100 million" during his playing days, but that's before taxes. Taxes probably ate at least 30 mil of that, if not more. So for him to have sank a reported 50 million or so of his own money in the company... clearly he risked a lot to make this happen.
It's a shame all the way around.
I like this guy's style. Good stuff. I'm passing on this one. All the DLC stuff scared me away. Didn't like the demo either.
Haha, I am right there with you, but for sure I am going with Deadpool, Darkhawk and Nova right away. To be able to play as Darkhawk in a video game is going to be awesome.
They showed they care about their image. They showed they cared about PR. They showed they cared about their ego. If they cared about the fans, they would have listened. Putting out nearly 2 gigs of DLC to make up for a mistake (or pure laziness) is not caring about your fans.
Sure, they could have done nothing, and if they were really gung ho about this being about art and upset that fans had the audacity to expect more and better and a much different ending, they should ha...
