It's always been their games. For every platform. Every single game, even now, says "this game licensed..." So yeah, about that.
Again, both Sony and Microsoft have said they are going to leave it up to the developers to decide the policy. Sure, Microsoft has more control, but no one actually knows how it is going to work. It's all speculation and everyone expects the worst (or in the case of Sony fanboys, wants the worst).

Simple solution: instead of worrying about it now, let's see how it works and judge it then? What if there is a way to see who is playing it (you know, looking at your friends list and saying "oh, Joe is playing it!"). And of course 10 people can't play it at a time. They couldn't do it when you had one disc either.

Even now you still show your ignorance. Yes, you can play offline. If your internet is out, you tether to your cell phone and you get pinged and boom, problem solved. It can ping you without you ever knowing or ever actually going online.

They are building a system that needs the internet to function properly. They are encouraging developers to use the internet as a tool. It looks like someone hit italics on an Xbox One and put a blue stripe on it. They are practically the same thing. Both are ugly. I'd say that I am absolutely baffled as to how people are saying one looks better than the other, but I'm not. Par for the course.

I don't understand how this is a surprise. Of course they are after the beating they are taking. The problem is, many of the games will not be playable properly without an internet connection because of the way they work. Look at Defiance as an example. If you own Xbox 360 and don't have the internet, you can't play Defiance. There are going to be a lot of games like that.

The Last Of Us may end up being the best story, but I don't know how anyone could criticize the actual shooter aspect of Bioshock Infinite and then not criticize the terrible shooter mechanics in The Last Of Us. I actually enjoyed both of the new MOH games. Warfighter was a great mix of COD/BF. Still, it's going to be hard for any FPS to really stand out and have staying power with the COD crowd that just wants to play COD over and over again.
