This will be better than The Old Republic for sure. I like Bioware as much as the next guy but it's clear that TOR is just a WoW clone with voice acting and lightsabers. They have done nothing innovative and nothing that actually looks fun. Gameplay and combat look boring as any other typical MMO out there. Man, what game were you all playing? I couldn't even get through the demo it was so bad. Another disappointing third person shooter with boring turret sequences, cover mechanics, terrible voice acting and a forgettable story. Oh but this one has a pointless gimmick, you can slide around! Yes, that's the definition of amazing.
Steam has a lot of good about it, but it's also not perfect. I've had some issues with it as have a lot of people I know.

What? They showed it almost 2 years before it was released. And they have only had CG trailers for teasers in the past until TOR. There's a difference between a 30 second CG teaser that shows nothing, and a 3 minute long action packed CG trailer that cost thousands of dollars and months to make. They think people like those, and they think that's what people want to see.

WoW wont die, at least not completely for 10-15 years. Everquest is still going and it's been out for 11 years with 17 expansions or something ridiculous. WoW will be around for a while, but the new batch of upcoming MMOs will definitely take some steam out of it.
