i just downloaded the 360 hd trailer and it looks amazing
and someone was talking about animations being spectacular, their clothing looks too stiff in the first part where they are flying, then if you look at the textures on the flying device, they are flat. and then if you look at the screen grabs, the shadows have crazy jaggies. I'm expecting more from sony and this game. I hope they improve on it with the year allotted time. If not, then this will be just another over-hyped game.

Hdmi is not needed for 1080p games only for movie playback. that's it. They built the elite just for that, for consumers who want it. Makes more sense don't you think. build what the consumer wants, not what you think they are going to need. XBox live has tons of movies, tv show episodes from various networks, demos, xbox live games, movie trailers, tv pilots, music videos, viral videos, and etc.

You could hold on to a gear and when you exit the turn, just let it rip. Plus, it's like driving a manual car. You gotta keep the revs high and know where you get most of your torque from. That way you have more grunt and a better possible exit. The only game in which manual is nearly impossible is rally games. The guy with the turret had several bullets shot at him and they just lit up and went away, same with the screen when they are running past the rubble, the only destructible part so far were the columns. that doesn't easily impress me.
