You shouldn't laugh at console fans. They keep pc fans afloat. There is a reason why Battlefield 3 is NOT exclusive to pc. There is a reason why DICE can afford the effort they're putting into the pc version. "Console Fans" have been keeping pc gaming relevant for years now. Wake me up when the pc version of any game that's not exclusive to pc, sells more than its console counterpart. You need them, they don't need you.
Okami is undoubtedly number 1 for me. One of the best games I've played in 20+ years of gaming. If any game needs an HD makeover with trophies, it would be that one.

Your list is wrong. Xbox and Playstation will undoubtedly be at the top. If there is any real technology in the Wiiu, its safe to say the price will be at least 400 U.S. That effectively brings the casual market to Sony and Microsoft which they have wanted for quite sometime. I agree with HL2. Maybe its because I too, like you, just played it for the 1st time. Very boring and is it just me or do reviewers downgrade other games for the same shit they praised this game for?
As someone that grew up with the 2600 and went from there, I can respect any argument stating graphics aren't everything. However,graphics are a large determining factor( for me personall) when justifying the purchase of a new system.
Next Generation systems are defined by the target audience. Simple as that. If you have been playing since the beginning(pong, atari, etc), and you are the target demographic for a new system, that system is next gen. High end pc's, 360, PS3 all target adults. This is why the Wii is not clasified as next gen. Granted many of us have a Wii, but our children are the target audience. C'mon guys, you know this

Also remember that this is an HD console that doesn't support Blu Ray, and as such, will be sharing space in an entertainment center/living room with a dedicated blu ray player. You're exactly right. As an any avid deer hunter would point out, any 20 gauge or 12 gauge shotgun can do at least 50 to 100 meters(with scope or modified barrel). A mossberg 850 can do better than that.

I'm interested in Nintendo's answer to Live and PSN. Doesn't matter if the new console has great specs compared to xbox/ps3. If they can't get a hold on the online market, they're screwed. Mario and Zelda won't save them next gen and I wouldn't think any big time 3rd party dev would gamble by going exclusive with Nintendo. MS/Sony will not cave to anyone but eachother.

Am I in the minority here? I smell Crackdown all over again. The Gears beta would be awesome by itself. I would renew my Gold just for that, but taking a chance on an UNPROVEN ip AGAIN?? Gears beta seems like a ploy from the publisher to get me to buy another turd. This is NOT an EPIC game. The whip/leash(whatever u want to call it) seems like a rip from Bioshock. If you're not a PS3 owner but have DIRECT TV, and buy the Sunday Ticket every year, this a win/win situation. They can get a PS3 AND Sunday ticket for less than what they would normally pay for just Sunday Ticket. Sony and DIRECT TV need to advertise the shit out of this. I got guys at work going out today to get a PS3 for this coupled with Netflix.
