Agreed. No mention of whether or not the Gears team is on this or if Cliff is involved at all. I feel like u r right about what this game is. We haven't seen gameplay or story if any, and I wasn't thrilled at all by the trailer. I didn't get the feeling that CB was even excited talking about it. I definitely think his team has moved to their next-gen game whether that is Samaritan related or Gears.
@frankfurt. Don't put God of War in your list. I'm a diehard Gears fan and enjoy Halo, but there is NO game like God of War on 360.
I feel like it definitely deserves a nomination. Horde alone could be a stand alone game. I don't see it leaving my 360 til next year. Uncharted 3 I feel is the pinnacle though this gen. Truly remarkable. A must own and I thought that there was no way to out do U2. I was wrong. Both are exclusives of the year for there respective systems at any rate.
U2 was awesome, but I thought Lazarevic's infinite nades were cheap. I felt like it was luck that got me thru crushing. Normal playthru was as good as it gets though.
Yeah, apparently there are a lot of people that don't realize ANY game with new game plus can be speedrun. Original playthrus are time intensive. Resident Evil anyone?
Its called UnStarted 3 by YOU. To speedrun u will need infinite ammo at least and a few other boosters unlocked thru normal gameplay.
Heavenly Sword in no way has a deeper combat system. Whatever color the enemy attacking you is, is the key to blocking and then countering. Boss battles were cheap, not challenging. to say that this game is even close to any God of War is just a blatant lie. When there was nothing else to play at the time, anything was good. What if Dante's Inferno had released at the same time? we would've talked about how much better it was then Heavenly Sword.
They most definitely did have consoles in mind. How else would they make money on this game? PC players definitely won't foot the bill.
Ah yes. I had an original launch 360 that sat there for years after playing Gears1/2 and Halo3/Reach. This summer I booted up Gears2 to get in the mood for 3 and it red ringed on me. Naturally I had to buy a new one for gears3 and I must say, one of the best games I've played this year. It wull stay in my xbox til next gen.
They didn't betray anyone. Their business model just caught up to the times. PC is a hardcore system. PS3/360 are where the money is at in terms of a game this size. The average game player doesn't pay attention to who developed a game and that same average gamer is not playing Rage on a PC. Just feel good knowing that because of PS3/360 sales, Doom 4 will happen.
Lol, core on the PC. That's an awesome statement. Aren't the best selling titles on PC besides WoW shooters?
That right there is a great comment. I don't care which is ahead at this point, but a few people have stated that a price drop is a "last resort" to stimulate sales. What do you call it when they're given away for free?
Failed? If Microsoft was in Sony's position right now, would you say they failed?
Agreed. If you own both consoles, this is a no-brainer. The xbox version will still be great, but the extras on PS3 make it the 1st choice for me.
If graphics don't mean anything then why do you play current games at all. The libraries of old systems should be more then enough for you. It never fails, there is always someone spouting garbage like that about gameplay over graphics. Gameplay doesn't cut it anymore. This is 2011, the graphics better be there for a 60 dollar price tag my friend.
I agree with that. An hd Okami could stand toe to toe with any of the heavy hitters this gen. I also really liked the Prince of Persia reboot. El Shaddai is another stunner.
A true Battlefield game has never appeared on consoles. Bad company 1 and 2 are not full Battlefield installments according to PC players. That being said, how could anybody but PC players be loyal? If BF3 delivers on consoles, I believe that "loyal" statement will shift due to sales numbers.
I totally agree with that. DmC4 was good. No need to reboot. Was it as good as 3 and 1, no but that doesn't mean it was bad. I really enjoyed 4
I think of my list(32 plats), the most satisfying are Batman:AA, Dead Space2, God of War(all), Prince of Persia(all), and Resident Evil 5. I like Infamous 1/2 as well but they were fairly simple. Same with Assassin's Creed2. I must say that most plats are satisfying hence the reason to go for it. If I had the kind of time I would like, I would go for much more. I do prefer trophies instead of gamerscore simply cuz there seems to be something physical. Does that make sense? Something tangi...
I like the price right where its at. I think the core gamer is the target audience obviously, and the price point and launch line up support this. This is not a device for children but rather young adults on up. Marketing this as a serious system for serious players is a great direction. This device should be marketed to players that are growing up or have grown up and are looking for shooters, rpgs, action, and sports titles that are online enabled with real multiplayer and story driven nar...
