Bungie have added a "death wipe" to the engrams, so when you die they get removed from the play area.
So Destiny has been lambasted for being boring and recycling areas and missions far too often.
But people are willing to stand in one place to shoot 6 enemies every 40 seconds, and get random (i.e. rarely any good) loot?.
Completely bonkers, that time is much better spent levelling up the various factions and getting legendary and exotic loot that way.
It's a damn sight quicker and more interesting than hoping you'll get lucky from fa...

Full day/night cycle and full weather system, 100 hours + of "content", although this probably just means events ,special events and bucket list events.
I guess you could call the bucket list, road exploration and sign breaking (there are tracked stats for these), speed camera's etc side quests.
As for NPC's, there are some, but I wouldn't say they are at all integral to the game, they are just there to facilitate the progression through...

The game is crossgen in title only, the games themselves are very different, completely different engine and development teams.
It really doesn't matter, when top draw releases like Forza Horizon 2 are coming out :)
Because it's fun, just because you don't like it, doesn't mean others don't like it as well.
You're wasting your breath, people seem to think the game should hand out legendaries and exotics like candy for standing in one place and shooting into a cave for hours on end.........
It's not ridiculous, it's just totally random, that's how the game is.
Anyone with any sense knows the way to get decent legendary and exotic gear is to play the game, earn marks and faction rep and buy it from the faction vendors.
Only an idiot would rely on an RNG loot system to drop decent gear.........
Depends how they view the rating scale, if it's a true out of 10 mark, then 7/10 is pretty good....
Should have really had a reduction for those of us who already brought the Xbox 360 version, so I think I'll hold off for a sale or GWG.

Engrams drop for you regardless, if others are shooting the enemies, you don't need to spin round like a loon for it to happen!!!!
You can reach the soft level cap of 20 quite quickly, but leveling up to 21 and beyond takes a lot of time, as you are at the will of the Bungie RGN loot system or you need to buy legendary / exotic gear, which takes a lot of rep/marks because you level via the light state on armour

It's because everything is completely random.
Considering the way the RNG loot works, and the amount of time you'd have to spend standing in one place to get anything good, I'd say they don't really need to patch it, as at the moment it's quicker (or not easier) to actually play the game.
IME, you don't get anymore gear from farming this cave, then you do from "playing the game"
Floppy American Barge, German midlife crisis wagon, or the Supra.
