Competition is good, yes, on the face of it Sony have the best performance console of the generation, but history tells you that the best piece of equipment isn't always the most successful.
I am looking forward to seeing what Microsoft can do in the face of such apparent adversity.

Arguably the best looking racing game ever made (in screenshots), however, in all of the footage I've seen, it doesn't actually look that good in motion.......

If idiots didn't pay for them, they wouldn't be there.
It's only going to get worse as people get lazier, they don't want to "work" (i.e. play the game), so they'll just pony up and pay the developers to play the game for them.
They are here to stay, all you can do is vote with your wallet and not pay for them.
No doubt a rushed release, with a huge lack of content when compared to FM4, however.....
Anyone who says that FM5 isn't a huge leap over FM4 visually, either hasn't played it or is blind.
There is also something else that is a huge leap over FM4, and that is the fidelity of a physics engine, which is streets ahead of FM4 (and anything else available on a console right now)
My Xbox One was brought for me, I wasn't going to get one, I just assumed it was going to be put under the TV and rarely used, since I still have a large backlog of Xbox 360 and PS3 games.
I was wrong, I've not played either my 360 or PS3 since I turned it on.
I have a few gripes, but it's a great system, with a lot of potential if it gets pushed in the right direction, and if not?, I'll just buy a PS4 :)

I love the GT series, I really do, I remember paying £70 for GT1 on import way back when, but the sounds have always let it down, and I can't understand why.

Like others, I thought 1v100 on the 360 was a lot of fun, it actually became a weekly fixture in our house, with non-gaming people taking part.
