I get what you are saying but that's always going to be the case before anything actually launches. This is simply a judgement based on what's been shown so far and a trust that they'll deliver. Personally I'm not likely to get mine till the New Year anyway so I'll get the benefit of other peoples experiences.
Perhaps, perhaps not. Maybe they'll learn from the 360 and see how the PS3 owned the exclusive market towards the latter half of it's lifecycle. Who knows?
Either way there will always be plenty of killer multiplatforms so whichever you choose initially you certainly won't be stuck for quality games to play. That or you can buy both.
I think that's a fair comment but as I pointed out in the article that comes under personal (as opposed to subjective) preference, something you're 100% entitled to. On a strictly console feature set topic however both consoles are far more similar than they once were.
Maybe Microsoft will win you over eventually but if not I'm sure Sony will be glad to have you onboard :)
I'm aware it's not out till 2014 however my point still stands. From the exclusives that have been shown SO FAR Titanfall is the one that's got people most excited according to the internet. Also I did say that's only my opinion at this moment in time so sure there will be more Sony exclusives revealed between now and Titanfall's release date.
From what I've heard Titanfall will likely be the game that will sell a certain console. Not saying the PS4 line-up is poor, because it's far from that, but mechs and that parkour style action are something console folk haven't seen done right in ages.
I'm not hating on the PS4 believe me, that's the console I'm personally getting, but if it literally just comes down to exclusive games shown so far then Xbox One may have the slight edge. I'm just ...
I do agree with your comment about the PS3 better exclusives but I doubt the Xbox One will blow. It's just a games console after all. Just be happy with what you get, that's all that matters surely?
Let's try and not have another console 'war' with fanboys, there's no need.
Launch titles do not make a console for the entirety of their lifetime but also who says that all these games are going to live up to their hype? Probably the example closest to my heart is Brink. Looked amazing, loads of customisation and that parkour running. Turned out to be pretty damn disappointing.
I personally am going for PS4 because over the PS3s lifetime I reckon it's churned out games more to my taste and most of those developers are coming to the next gen. The...
I'd count that as a good thing providing you're after a FPS for the Vita. If so many people are agreeing then that's surely a good early indicator? Well if they've actually played it and aren't just assuming.
People are hilarious. I choose whatever console for games is a pointless argument for one simple factor - they've only revealed games for the first 6 months to a year of the console life. Unless you can predict the future that's an almost invalid reasoning. Obviously that's what you'll be playing when the console first comes out which does sway to some degree, at first, but that's it.
Also with all the game releases over the lifetime this will constantly c...
What a retarded final statement. "The gameplay mechanics here are nuanced but they’re still fairly narrow in scope, and it’s clear the game wouldn’t be half as interesting without its stunning visuals and cinematic presentation." So basically without the graphics it's not that great to play?
Yet then they go on to say "At the moment though there seems little reason to expect that this won’t be the best PlayStation 3 game of the year, and likely one of the b...
Yeah good point because this isn't a review from a PLAYSTATION magazine you retard!
1) Not every developer will block streaming and I'm guessing the main bits that people will want to stream i.e. multiplayer won't fall into this category.
2) If it does block a certain section when others are watching it doesn't mean the stream will kick people out but perhaps just display a message saying it's blocked. Still not ideal as far as the article author is concerned but not completely experience breaking.
3) Maybe form an opinion when you know the fa...
It's a great website, just a bit of a daft article. Don't let that put you off their usual high quality stuff.
No I don't work for them btw.
Because people know it’s a game? People don’t see the enemies as humans but rather pixels and polygons that must be shot at. Thinking of these targets having lives outside what you see in the game is a bit too far. A bit of a non question as far as I’m concerned.
Anonymous are a bunch of c*nts anyway. They aren't the crusaders for good that they seem to think they are. I cannot stress how pathetic they are and I genuinely hope they end their lives in very slow and painful ways.
That's true but in their interview they did say that if they win 'Make Something Unreal' then they'd aim for it to be a PS4 launch game.
I'm sorry but Nintendo pretty much only has Zelda, Mario, Metroid & Pokemon franchises to choose from so it's pretty darn easy for them to get all the favourites, particularly because they own them all. On the other hand Sony only have one character from a huge selection of different franchises so I'd personally say there is far more variety.
That said I'd agree that the roster could be better with Snake, Crash, Spyro, Lara etc.
They bemoan the fact that roster doesn't feels as timeless as Nintendos Smash Bros. You know why that is? You want to know the big secret? Nintendo barely change their bloody franchises! Zelda, Mario & Pokemon have been around for ages. Yeah they may have evolve with the times gameplay wise but still it shows a lack of variety to their history.
Whereas the Sony consoles are constantly creating new characters. A perfect example being Naughty Dog; Crash Bandicoot on the...
Do people not realise how much it costs to get characters? Superbot are probably waiting to see how well they sell before they can afford or it's worthwhile (remember it's their first title) to pay Square Enix's license fees. By the same token Square Enix are probably waiting to see if PSASBR gets popular before they donate what is essential their legacy to a fighting game.
Just because it's easy to develop for doesn't mean all games will be using the consoles max capacity straight out of the gate. Smart devs will always find even better ways (coding tricks and the like) of utilising what's available and finding these extra ways can take years. Look at Naughty Dog for example, each time a new game has come out they've always found extra ways to get more out of it.
Regardless wouldn't you want things to get better as time goes...
