You'd hope the answer to who will 'win' is gamers. Sadly that isn't the level headed world we live in.

I agree with you to a point. As a general rule I'd say that there is plenty wrong with children playing games like these HOWEVER you seem to be a good parent and have taught her the separation between life and a video game. While obviously that has worked with your daughter I'd be so bold as to say this would likely be a minority case.

Only a parent would, or at least should, be able to judge whether their child can handle the difference and in your case it's wor...

What a random piece of news.

Because everything else pointed to it working up until this point.

Well technically the latter half of that is true, the former will be decided in time.

I'm hoping it'll more likely be the case for Japanese games on EU or US consoles. I plan on getting a US PS4 for use in the UK so this potential game only region locking better not screw that up or else I'll have a very sad face.

But the point is it's not an MMO. Those are built to be continually updated as a genre rule but a game like GTA shouldn't be held to the same standard. Obviously there are similarities because in this case they are adding features over time but realistically why shouldn't they review it on day one? You can review MP games like CoD on day one so why not this? It's not the reviewers fault the game was incomplete and buggy at launch. Regardless he does acknowledge that the game h...

It's not really free though is it? It's part of the game you paid for however it just released a bit later.

Yes but once again we don't know! That's my entire point. People are jumping to conclusions that may or may not be true. Fair enough it COULD ruin the online but all this rage based on speculation and how micro transactions will be applied is simply dumb. I'm just fed up of the hate that could be really badly misplaced.

Like I said if it's becomes a pay to win style then yes I agree. However if it's purely cosmetic then I seriously don't see how it's a problem. So what if people are willing to buy themselves some shirts with real money when everyone else earns it in game? I plan on saving my real money and getting the rewards in game. If other people dropping cash doesn't affect my game then I fail to see how it matters. It just feels a bit of a premature argument when I've not seen a...

Really? Do you ACTUALLY know this? What if it's all just for cosmetic things that don't affect the gameplay? That won't ruin a single thing. I'd rather earn my rewards than buy them.

It's optional. I don't see why everyone is getting so much rage about this. Maybe when it's out and IF it becomes a pay to win thing then sure. As for right now wait and see. Regardless the single player is more than worth it.

What more regulations should they be forced to abide by? I know in a game you become that character and choose to do these things but in theory shouldn't these rules apply to films too?

I'm sorry but at least 90% of the blame is with whoever buys it. If you are ignorant enough to not comprehend what game you are letting your child have then it's your fault. Makes you wonder if they are ignorant with other aspects of their child's life and what else they do or...

I see what you mean but it's still not an amount of money to be scoffed at. Hopefully Vita TV can move it from the early stages to a more mainstream device.

13 million sold overall, 6.5 million sold between June 2012 and June 2013. An income that Sony I'm sure would love.

But if it does the same thing at the same price and more then why not? As long as they market the features well enough it could smash Apple TV out of the park.

Couldn't agree with you more. It isn't a game for everyone but the people who do play, and should play in terms of age limit, enjoy it and don't go out and do all the things the media think they do.

I see what you mean. OK how about comparing it to a multitude of other open world games like Saints Row & Just Cause where you can harm randoms. Perhaps GTA gets more attention because of it's realism and stature. That's more what I'm trying to say. It isn't the only game like that.

The Digital Foundry comparison video is far more accurate. From what they summarised the PS3 has the edge but only really on some minor textures, probably due to the single disc setup and texture streaming on PS3. Looks like it's not major so there should't be any daft 'PLAYSTATION 3 RULZ 4EVA!' or 'XBOX SUKS!' comments.

I agree with you that there are many good exclusives around but having too many consoles always ends up with one primary and the rest secondary. I only own one myself because I've seen so many people get two or more and then not get the worth out of them. Just a personal preference of course but hey if you have the money then why not own more eh?
