I imagine Wii Music could appeal to young kids. (Though, not speaking from experience.)
If it gets kids at least more engaged in music...more power to Nintendo.
Oh dear.
Nothing about the story is false. The Nikkei did release a report (whether that's true or not is another discussion)...and the stock price did fall on the news of the report.

Look. It's fallen. Why is this being denied? Look at the stock price fall.
@Morgan
Stock prices (in dollar amounts) are meaningless.
The market cap of Sony is 22B. Microsoft's is 176B. It's the difference in the number of shares outstanding.
Indeed. It stinks that more people aren't able to enjoy games because of accidents or failures in health. :(
@Cain
Definitely.
:(
I think there are plenty of things to fix on the service as it stands right now. I mean, I get the social aspects (which I don't really want)...but I want to play some of the games they have...but they're really hard to get into. It's frustrating that I have to stand in a line to join in.
I still need to try out the LOTR: Conquest demo to see if it's something I'm interested in...
Nice article.
@Cajun
There was/is a Crackdown demo.
I think the PS3 still has a number of great years ahead of it and will prove its worth this year.
I think gamers are way too hyper-sensitive to criticism of their medium. Take it stride, boys and girls...
I wonder how they messed that up...
Agreed. I don't know how much better graphics will get this generation, but I'm sure there's still a little bit of juice to squeeze out of the 360/PS3.
I still think, even with all that, a $100 price point drop seems a little too hopeful. $50 for sure, though.
Well, the issue becomes...can Sony afford to cut price right now?
I don't know about a big margin, but it definitely would be outselling it consistently month after month. The PS3 had been outselling the 360 most of 2008 until the holiday season...Problem is the holiday season is the most critical to hardware success in a lot of ways.
I'm confident 2009 will be a helluva year for the PS3 though. They've got an insane line-up coming out.
Very cool piece.
Got a date with you and your hand later tonight?
