Because they're big doesn't mean they're not a great publisher. They have some of the greatest games in the industry, but people just talk about every bad game they make.
It's like tearing Ubisoft a new one because they have "Petz" and ignoring No More Heroes, most of the games in their Tom Clancy series, Assassin's Creed, etc.
Every publisher has bad games--no reason to forget about the good because of the bad.
Why do you say that? (Not trying to be a smart-ass, honestly would like to hear why.)
@The Wood
I was disappointed that we didn't hear anything about Forza 3. That should be coming soon, though.
Before anyone comes in and reports or comments that this is redundant--no. The Ripten article that has been posted to N4G is satire and this is not.
What? There's no mention of Factor 5, and Level 5 is the team behind White Knight Story AND Rogue Galaxy.
Seems the joke's on you.
Yet, I'm guessing it'll sell millions of copies. Though, I wonder if Wii Music will resonate as well as Wii Fit did with casuals? I'm not sure if the demo did that. Who knows?
That conference was painful.
I personally enjoyed the Microsoft press conference, but I'm completely bummed that they didn't announced anything new about Alan Wake. Game looks rad...but it's going into DNF territory with how long it's takin' them. :P
Where does the article even make mention of who won or lost?
This is great news! :)
Depending on what this announcement comes coupled with this (what games that will be affected)...Nintendo probably stole the show already. They are on their game.
Nintendo and Sony might, but it seems like Microsoft set a precedence last year of showing stuff that's planned to come out this year.
Because the guy didn't like how a lot in the press, as well as gamers, misrepresented what he said?
Definitely would be nice.
I hope it's Diablo 3. Please, please, please be Diablo 3. :)
For gamers, definitely. I think the controls held back previous games and since people got a taste of MGS4's story, they might be more inclined to pick up previous titles. I don't think it'll interest many "casual" gamers in the slightest, though.
It's that Metal Gear pushes the bounds of realism within the confines of its own world is what's troublesome, not that it itself is unrealistic.
For fans, yes.
It wouldn't make that much sense to say something like Resistance or Warhawk because, while both are great multiplayer titles, they haven't reached the same critical mass that CoD4 and Halo 3 have attained.
That was definitely up there as well.
