That is why Kojima + Del Toro is a perfect mix. Del Toro has great imagination to create such ambience and creatures (hellboy, Pan's Laberynth, The Orphanage) and Kojima is a Master of detail and narrative.

They did say it was exclusive

I didn't click the article, but I stopped reading here " If reading is hard or you already hate my opinion because it’s about Sony fanboys,"

What kind of "writer" insults their readers like that. Having a different opinion suddenly means that someone has difficulty reading and understanding a text? That is completely immature and just goes to show how the writer thinks he has the asbolute truth

God knows I really...REALLY don't like Halo, but you have to acknowledge the love, care and impressive value of the Master Chief Collection. I can see how much they love, care and respect their fans.

In the PS1 era I remember the 2 most stresfull/distressed moments being:

1- Aerith's death.
2- Meryl being shot.

Those two games show me how it was like to be really involved and invested in a game.

Yeah, a retelling would be just fine. I see where you are coming from, but I can see a lot of potential in gameplay from those 2 games in a 3D environment. They are the complete opposite of the new MGS5, as they are really closed environments, but it makes it for a really intense, close experience, plus I envision the boss fights as something as epic as the first MGS1, especially the Minefield battle agains Gray Fox.

I do love the original MG1 and MG2, but can't help but ...

I always told my friends (since the MGS2 era) how much I would love to play the Snake vs Gray Fox fight in the minefield. I can picture all the epicness of the fight in my mind

Thing is... we don't know and sometimes is just better if we don't. You know how the internet is and complains about anything will go left and right and who would want to keep addressing that?

It's better if we patiently wait for them to show something when it is ready. Like what Kojima did with Silent Hill and everybody got their minds blown by such a surprising reveal

I love the first Metal Gear Solid and somehow I don't think it needs a remake. I would rather have them remake Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake so we can have the entire story in 3d(ish) gameplay.

I can still play, enjoy and love the original PS1 release.

The fact that they say the game is in development, doesn't mean they have material ready to be shown.

Perhaps they scrapped the initial project and they are starting again with the PS4 tech instead (remember that the PS3 architecture is completely different)

This is awesome. I was also wondering if Silent Hills could actually be a Project Morpheus/Oculus VR compatible game.

If the teaser made me had to change my pants, the full game with VR tech included will increase the sales of adult diapers like 5000%

I just said exactly the same thing. Here: "Someone's vision should not be compromised by sexists agendas of any kind. If someone envisioned a Male protagonist, then fine and if someone envisioned a female protagonist, it's equally fine."

I'm arguing about the interpretation that the title of the article is taking just from the amount of female characters in a game and that it means some sort of "domination".

I'm curious, what Country are you from? I'm from Costa Rica and our internet kinda sucks compared to everyone elses connection, however, I do have access to Netflix and can use most the PSN's functions. Including the Share button and some sort of (crappy) streaming (cause my connection sucks).

I have access to the Latinamerican Netflix, the USA netflix and the UK netflix by using a proxy called unblock-us. That gets me access into some of the stuff, but there are ...

So instead of equality, it goes to the other side of the spectrum? I don't think that is a good way to interpret Nintendo's intentions.

Gender equality means just that. It's not about female domination or female centric games. Someone's vision should not be compromised by sexists agendas of any kind. If someone envisioned a Male protagonist, then fine and if someone envisioned a female protagonist, it's equally fine.

The incredibly poor AI and useless weapons that the first Tomb Raider had makes my choice really easy. I thought the first Tomb Raider was waaaay overrated so I wasn't going to buy the 2nd one any way.

Plus, if Rise Of The Tomb Raider eventually shows up on PC/PS4, I still won't buy it because it will be like supporting Square/Enix practices of shafting their fans for money because "in the end, people would buy it anyway".

Until they are eventually released on PS4 like every other "exclusives", right?

4188d ago 11 agree2 disagreeView comment

Its definitely big announcement, however, I really don't care since I consider the first Tomb Raider the most overrated game of 2013.

@Visiblemarc FULL OF SPOILERS

It's funny, because, during the game, I saw it as both characters going through the opposite phase of their lives. Ellie's innocence was gradually being destroyed by the world around her, while Joel was crawling back from the hole he dug up for himself when his daughter died (and regaining some hope and some "innocence himself), because of Ellie's innocence and cheerful attitute, however, (I Think) they both met at a common place...

Are we really so far gone as a society as to think that a 15 year old girl should somehow "not need" a man with decades of experience surviving?

That's what the author of the article fails to see. It's not a about a girl needed an man, is about people needing each other to survive. No genders involved.

I just finished my first play (ever) of both the game and the DLC and I can argue that the game can also be about the complete loss of innoce...

This has nothing to do with them choosing a platform. This is them avoiding the same stuff that happened to Bungie. They supported Microsoft and the 360 last gen and after they saw what fans of Halo did to Bungie, they simply did the smart thing and boosted confidence in the Microsoft console to let fans know they are not abandoning them, rather than welcoming the PS fans.
