I don't know, I see this game as the equivalent of "Saw" and Saw is not a horror movie, it is just a gore/shock movie.
I see Alien: Isolation as true horror.
It's funny because the game is actually quite good and entertaining. Lots of stuff to do and interesting mechanics plus not your average 9-10hrs game. You can just waste 6hrs doing just random stuff
I see this game getting incredibly high scores and I'm wondering if I should buy it. I really didn't like the first one and it's not because I don't like action games, because I do, it just didn't do it for me.
@Griever
This is Platinum Games, not Nintendo.
Credit where credit is due.
I have a physical copy but have not seen an update. Going to look into that right now. Thanks for the headsup
No, because we were promised both. We payed for PS + for the games, then, at E3 they said that paying for PS + will help to better the online environment, so, even though I don't want to pay to play online, I trusted them.
WHAT!?
Are you serious? Weather was used by EVERYONE (including the devs) as a big selling point of the game. The game does not and will never remain the same. Weather changes the way you are supposed to drive.
And you are saying that it is the critics fault that the servers were not available when the game was supposed to have them online? How are the critics accountable for a functionality that the game was supposed to have ready? They had a release date th...
Good:
*AI is really aggressive and tough even on the easiest difficulty.
*The penalties makes sense. You don't want to be crashing into cars in order to help yourself take a curve.
*Lots of different stages.
*Interesting challenges.
Bad:
* Graphics are really inconsistent. Lots of low res textures here and there. Some stages look way better than the other ones.
* Online not available and really limited.
* No weather ...
It's not that the game was not reviewed properly, it's just that the game was incomplete after launch. The online portion of the game is extremely limited and was not working on launch either.
No online, no weather effects, etc, etc. How can you possible expect to get a good review when key factors of the game were missing from the final release copy?
This time, it's not the reviewers fault.
It looks like they also used some of Street Fighter characters so Capcom could possibly follow sue-t ;)
So...this pretty much is just an ad for G2A in disguise, eh?
The game is amazing and I have no remorse in paying full price for it.
To me it is more like Metroid/Strider/Contra than Megaman, but it looks really nice. Any game that follows the Metroid way, I will play.
Ugh YES! Or people that all they want to do is spawn-trap every round. They even hear the bomb being planted and they don't do nothing.
Funny, because, based on your assessment, SoTN could be considered a Super-Metroid Knockoff.
Thankfully, IGA and Konami decided to be INFLUENCED by the amazing game Super Metroid is and bless us with the magnificence that is SoTN.
When did I say anything about open world? Not sure why you are brining that up.
And it is funny how you contradict your own opinion: you bring up realism in the reflection issue, but end up your comment stating how DriveClub is not a simulator. The dash reflection should look like a dash reflection, not like a PS1 dash reflection.
My guess is that you have not seen nor play the game. The game was given to me (for free) by Sony and I could have been biased and...
I had this issue too, but it turned out to be my network. I changed ISP and made sure my NAT was open and everything works really fast, loads fast and messages are instantaneous.
Well I do not think it is the best looking car game at all. After playing it and seeing a lot of incredibly low-res textures, I can't really back up that statement.
The reflection of the dash in the windshield looks HORRIBLY low-res, there are plenty of mountains and rocks in the seas that also look HORRIBLE.
Some stages definitely look a lot better than other ones.
I'm not saying it has shitty graphics, the game has gorgeous visuals...
I agree, but I would personally recommend it to horror and exploration fans. It is a game that requires patience and not all people have the patience to go through something like that. (like IGN)
Right, I can't. When I go to online, it stays "loading" and then the game crashes to the 3DS main Menu.
I portforwarded all required ports and now it is not connecting to the servers.
Really disappointing.
Gonna try the demo. I hated GTA4 the first time I played it, but after a while, I played it a second time and it didn't seem that bad.
The problem is, October and November have a wide array of new releases, meaning, bunch of games that a want to play vs a game I'm on the fence about...
