Plus, voting AFTER the game has already come out is ineffective and harmful. If no one buys the game, the SSX IP could die out completely, and that would be a horrible thing, really.. But if they bring attention to their worries noww, there's still a chance of their complaints being taken into consideration.

I loved SSX3. That game and Amped were the reasons I played my original Xbox all the time, honestly.
I hope they give me a great experience. I wasn't a fan of SSX on tour, but SSX3 was perfection. I loved all the characters in 3, and leveled them all up, and had the coolest stuff, and could literally beat anyone in a race. With on tour, I just didn't get that great feeling of happiness all the time..

Alan Wake was announced years ago. Too Human is another game that was announced a decade in advance.
And yeah, Sony does announce some things way in advance. The Last Guardian, Gran Turismo 5, etc. But, M$ does as well.
I mean, this gen, Sony had to announce games back when the PS3 launched. Their lineup was lacking back then, and they had to tell people "No worries! We'll eventually have games! and they're going to be great!"

GameStop just throws a random date, that seems plausible, on a game that doesn't have an official one yet.
They just want to have all officially announced games in the system so people can pre-order them, and to do that, their system requires a date. They do not want to miss out on potential reserves just because of a silly lack of official release date.
