I'd say sure, wait a few months. But, Nintendo and Sony have stellar hardware track records. Yes, there'll be later versions that improve on the launch hardware, but early adopters of the PSP / DS were perfectly fine. Low failure rate, could play 99% of the games released. I don't see this being any different with new handheld gen.
It's just kind of a bummer.

I think that GH was always the lead in hardcore options, even if they lagged behind on new peripherals. They have multiple hyperspeed settings, options to turn off the background business, and they allow hyperspeed during practice mode. Rock Band has none of those. They did add in pro mode and the new keyboard, but all of those options are still missing, which is kind of a major bummer.

I hate when things come to an end, even when it's time. Always makes me a little sad and nostalgic. Thank goodness I still have Rock Band, or I would probably actually cry.

They just throw whatever release date and price seems plausible on there, and run with it. They just want to make sure they are ready for pre-orders, because it's all a part of the circle of life.

Well, I'm hoping they don't go with the future or present day, really. They need to keep it in the past where guns aren't super advanced. Otherwise, how would the gameplay possibly stay the same? If it's present day or the future, you probably won't be able to get anywhere near anyone worth assassinating - you'd have to get a sniper rifle of some sort, and you wouldn't be able to stay off the grid by just ripping down wanted posters.
