This sounds cool, but I have yet to see it reported on elsewhere. Is there a link to the actual press release? There doesn't seem to be one in the article itself.
The reason I didn't finish it is covered in the article. I got a few games all at once due to the flood of games that came out in the fall, and this game got pushed to the back of the pack. I'll get to it soon though. I would expect the percentages of people that completed the game to rise slightly once we hit a gaming drought.
Oh, Gaming Bolt, guess I won't click the link to read the article then. Thanks, bye!
I wasn't a fan of 2 either. The whole monsters/zombies horde angle was poorly done and really ruined it for me. Just give me a big city to roam where i stumble upon targets I have to kill and I'll be happy.
Rare can't win with this franchise at this point. Nuts & Bolts was too different for fans to accept (though I loved it) and making another 3D platformer would be seen as stale and not moving the franchise forward (though that genre doesn't sell well anyway without Mario in the title).
I don't like QTE heavy games, got tired of Heavy Rain and all the Telltale Games.. uh, games. At least The Order has some actual shooting sequences.
Still, there is a LOT of QTE in all the demos they've shown. Maybe over the course of the whole game it'll feel like there's less QTE than when it comes up multiple times in a short demo. We'll see!
I agree with the article. Especially this part:
"Letting a large company know that they matter so much and can’t lose your loyalty. Ultimately that forces Sony to make choices that might not be in the gamer’s best favor."
Brand loyalty is not a good thing for consumers in general. It can cause a company to overcharge for a low quality product believing the consumers will be there to eat it up, no matter what. Of course, do this enough and people soo...
Was not a fan of this article.
I need to start looking at the source of an article and making sure to skip it if it's Gaming Bolt. They just aren't very informed and articles only seem to be clickbait with barely any good info.
Yikes, couldn't even spell "Original" correctly. Good job Walmart.
And then when you do find someone, they're not the ones with the keys to open the case, they have to go searching for someone else. Such a pain buying from there.
"People that try it walk out a believer"
That's the thing, getting people to try it might be a tough thing to do. Facebook better pony up some big cash for demo stations throughout Best Buys and Fry's across America when this thing launches.
I love Far Cry 4, granted I never played FC3 so that seems to make the experience much fresher to me. The graphics are amazing and the controls are nice and tight. Not sure what to think of the story just yet as I've been doing nothing but sidequests and leveling up the past 10 hours of playing it.
I loved that this game released unexpectedly. Unfortunately that means it didn't get proper trailers or an advertising campaign at all.
D4 was not backed properly and MS did mess up. They have an original game series that feels indie, and instead of promoting it, like Sony has been with their indies, they just shove it out the digital door. There's not even a release schedule for any more episodes (from what i hear it sold very poorly) and it really was just thrown to...
I did really enjoy the 1st Sly game. I never got around to the 2nd one, guess it's worth checking out! And, yes, I do still need to play Last Of Us. Thanks for the recommendations!
.. and then promptly traded the PS TV back in.
Yep, I believe that was their first failure. It was not good.
Metal Gear Solid 4. I loved 1, and liked 2 well enough. It just got worse from there, for me at least. That's when I switched to playing Splinter Cell games and never looked back for my stealth action.
That's the thing though, I love 3D movies too, and I know I'd love VR if I was able to try it. It's just not something that I believe can be mass marketed.
I've heard many of my friends and family (I'd consider them the mass market audience, not niche like us hardcore gamers) complain about wearing 3D glasses to movies. Those people are not gonna sit in their house and wear giant goggles to play games, when all they do is play games on their phone.
I love Far Cry 4. Some fantastic gameplay, the graphics are great, and I like when you... EEEEAAAGLE!!!!!
Great article. I'll have to check out some of those picks.
