Movies on games, I dunno.
We reviewed the game also and our reviewer gave it a 5/10 for many reasons. However, a review is always subjective and fans demand higher scores etc, its part and parcel. However, put yourself in the shoes of a new gamer, or just someone who has never played a dark souls game, and how would they feel about a poor tutorial, insane difficulty and relentless death? I know many gamers that will take it back and go "too hard". My point is reviewing a game is done from the perspective...
I'll add Max, Plants vs Zombies and Ryse.
I choose not to engage in any hype and enjoy the experience for myself.
As we discussed on the podcast, this could be an issue for any product in any market where there are adverse fluctuations in a currency relative to another. Could it happen in US, UK, Aus? Yes of course, its just a matter of whether the manufacturer decides to adjust their prices in each particular region. Its unfortunate for those living in a country, but it happens.
As an aussie gamer, figure this one out. Games cost $60 US generally on launch in USA, yet in Australia,...
Excellent. At least no review can or should say this game is laggy, especially now in Aus there will be dedicated servers. Thanks MS for sticking to your promises.
I understand that Knack was included in PS4 consoles in Japan meaning all 300,000 consoles sold accounted for 300,000 copies of knack, or so I am told.
I'm not angry. People really need to understand what being a day one adopter entails
Its amazing how this is already turning into a saga. MS was first to congratulate Sony on their launch last time I checked and Sony gave one back, half assed but still gave one back.
Its business folks, and mutual respect in the gaming industry is important as 9 times out of 10 when these guys change jobs they'll work with each other most likel, so it pays to be nice.
Nintendo's stuff ups with SNES CD Add on is the reason why Sony was Born. Technically, Nintendo is your Father Sony and SEGA was Nintendo's Ex Wife. :)
What would your thoughts be community if Jack was suddenly hired by Microsoft?
Now that would be an epic news story.
I am glad MS is on the back foot this generation. It will force MS to drive better value, and do what it did last generation in the first 3 or 4 years to fight hard and push it into homes. Those who say doomed, I seriously hope your just joking. A one horse race aint gonna be fun for anyone. Competition is strong, and thats better for gamers.
Blaze you are right, there are hard times ahead for Sony, thats right Sony, that doesn't just mean the Playstation 4 and their gaming brands. Its all the other things they sell, make and are invested in thats costing millions and millions.
Sony needs to seriously strip out the gaming brand from their portfolio and create a new company thats just all dedicated to Playstation etc and I am sure given its sales it will be very profitable.
We need to ...
That's a good reply, and that's the sort of article that should be posted for X1/PS4 which breaks it down into regions and contains more data.
And I do follow console sales, I just don't have the time to research all the data, but seeing as you provided it, not disputing any numbers here, couldn't care less if Ford was on top lol, its about the article making statements based on one region, its far more informative to show all regions.
While y...
Wow, lets take 5 weeks of data and make some wild extrapolations of the life of a console. How is Sony outselling MS 3:1? 6 million in Sony sales would equate to just 2 million in Xbox sales, hmmm doesn't add up. Then again, were just talking about UK, which has always been a Sony stronghold and not for MS. I'm sorry, if you are going to present numbers, make it factual, have a proper sample size (ie all countries) and formulate an accurate analysis before making such outlandish s...
For me, I think E3 will be full of surprises accross the board.
Nintendo has to come out swinging just to stay alive this generation, I hope it unveils loads of software, new ips and more.
Sony has to start bringing more games and show gamers what to look forward to this year on more of a games front and how it can keep its momentum going.
Microsoft needs to bring its A-game also, to show gamers why it also should be the system to game ...
Personally I dont know why MS continues to try and tap this market. I'd be spending that money and effort on delivering a better XB1 experience to USA and rest of the world and new countries as that would be far better served that focusing on Japan, which in all due respect, doesn't give a toss about anything unless it has Pokemon characters, large oversized eyes and comes with a fried egg!
Hell even Nintendo, cant catch a break in their home town, unless your talk...
Well done Sony, good results. As for Nintendo, might wanna rethink your strategy moving forward.
I'm not fussed, everything upscales on X1 to 1080p, so if its 720p, 792p, 900p etc, I am still "playing in 1080p". So its a null factor for me. Personally I am more interested in frames per second as that is what makes a game fluid etc.
The beta rocked, had so much fun, and I personally couldn't care less about resolution.
I understand to some this may be an issue, its your personal choice but for me its a null factor.
Very good point RiPPn. Internet speeds vary for everyone so how much bandwith these cloud services on any systems could potentially use is always something that users will need to be aware of. With a very limited 3mbit connection I can barely stream HD, cant even use Twitch to stream my game due to poor speeds 0.8bmit Upload lol so its a big issue for me.
I have confidence in cloud technology for the future, but it like every other good idea, PS Now, Movies and Cable o...
