Tells me XB1 is where the games are at. Those others out there just need to realise that. Perhaps now its cheaper folks will. One can hope.
Is that before or after 10 patches? Compare each game to its launch and Titanfall ran beautifully, unlike the others. Further, BF and COD have massive histories and instal bases accross many platforms. Titanfall is a new IP so to be number 1 on the NPD ahead of BF & Cod is a true testament to a great new IP.
Microsoft has a crap load of cash. Look at Sony, pretty much broke, on the brink of financial collapse. Look at each companys financial reports and stock prices. MS could shut Sony out tommorow by raging a price war. MS has the bank roll and reserves/credit rating to do so. But, I dont want MS to, because, knocking Sony out of the market = less competition which is not good.
MS could spend their money effectively securing all the best games if they so choose to.
I have complete confidence that MS will rebound and sell hardware. Its only been 7 months since launch, its already shifted close to 5 million units and getting the new sku less the kinect to give people a "choice" is a great move forward.
2014 will be an important year, lets see how it goes but with E3 around the corner, games on the table, lets see what goes down in the showdown.
All of the backtracking was a result of users complaining they didn't want or support MS's vision. Microsoft like Sony unveiled consoles pre-e3. E3 was about the games, and because MS went first, the $500 price tag was a good price tag compared to prior generation. However, MS was in good spirits till Sony knocked MS with its $400 price tag. If PS4 leads this whole generation does it matter? Personally as a Xbox Gamer, I want Sony to lead this gen. Yes, thats right! Am I crazy? No, but I'll explain why.
Having MS on the back foot has already in 7 months delivered craploads of updates, fixes, improvements to X1, great games, discounted games, hardware cuts, more aggressive moves and more. All I am doing it benefiting from all of this. And thats a beautiful thing.

Many people seem to forget that Sony also cut the cost and removed the emotion chip, USB ports and more to lower the cost after launch. As the analysts say, if the price isn't right, it wont move. We saw this with 3DS. Look at how successful both those moves were.
To say this move for the X1 is not smart, is clearly failing to look at past history and ones own backyard.
I am not calling anyone a winner here, I am saying this strategy will align bot...
I dont want compensation. I bought X1 with Kinect because I value Kinect. Doesn't matter what others think, I love it, use it and enjoy it. So I am glad I paid what I paid and enjoy what I have. Also, with any technology this is the normal territory when you are an early adopter, so its how it is in my book.
Is it just me or is it the same people that hated on MS here for ages who said MS needs to do X, Y & Z also the same folks now that are hating on MS for doing X, Y & Z? Why cant people give credit where credit is due. Its been a massive excercise full of change, improvement, listening and embracing the change, yet all I am hearing is bickering and entitled gamers? Am I missing something here?
MS has done well here and I applaud their efforts. Way to listen to everybody and make changes. People will complain still dont you worry about that, but I personally think its a great step forward for MS. Hopefully MS drives more sales. As the cheaper console (at least in Australia) and on par with USA, it should remove any debate about price. And finaly gamers can make their choice on the games instead.

Yes they'll be there this year too. But for what? To talk to people on the show floor or to say come and have a quick go at this game? The press conferences are the biggest part of e3 where everything is unveiled. Sure Nintendo will be there, but being on stage, presenting, annoucing and having the world tune in to your conference IMO is far more appealing that what Nintendo did last year and this year. For us Aussies it was 2 LEGO games in 2 weeks, with LEGO The Movie launching just days ago, and now The Hobbit on the 16th. Big month for LEGO.
I cant wait for more Gears. I will guarantee right now that "if" Gears is the next best thing, you'll start seeing a wealth of stories trying to knock it down, or comments that it should go to other systems etc.
