Well, I wish I felt the same way about this game as Brian does. I couldn't help but feel as though I was more strung along in this game rather than making my own decisions. However, the combat was rock solid, and some of my favorite sequences happened against the swarm.

Loved it. This is hilarious.

I've heard the same thing from friends about Sucker Punch. I can't wait to go out and see it.

I think there are critics who take games way too seriously, and some that don't take them seriously enough. Successful reviews, to me, strike a good balance in between serious business and entertainment.

Did you even read the article? Sure, user reviews are helpful to an extent, but even you know that most user reviews are trolls or 13 year olds who didn't quite "get" the game. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Despite your grammatically and factually fallible comment, you still claim to be some sort of anti-fanboy? You knocked him for using "in existence" when you used a more terribly fanboyish way of comparing U2 and GoW3 to Crysis 2. "Waaaayyyyyyyy better." So how, exactly, is that measured in an agreeable, objective standard? Get out of here with your hypocrisy.

Epic scale always gets beat out by fun. Well done.

I think their SMART system seems like a cool idea.

This looks beyond trippy. I'm liking the look so far. It seems very... Monty Python.

F-ing Run sounds like a really good time. I like the twist it puts on a classic game mechanic. It's kinda like those Mario stages where the stage would scroll regardless of Mario's movement.

I agree with you, brother. Astigmatism fTL!

I disagree, Nintendo only makes a price drop happen if it is really necessary to do so. Sure, Sony is packing a lot of tech into the NGP, and it will be an impressive machine, but nintendo just has lightyears of clout on top of Sony by name alone. It'll stay at $250 for a couple years.

I think it's a cool device, but I have to admit that I'm not quite sold on it yet. The problem is that the games previewed (while 2 of the 3 are still excellent) they are nothing more than cheap cash-ins. I am, however, genuinely excited for Kid Icarus. But, I'm still having fun with my DS, and it's good enough for what I want in mobile gaming.

I think that tutorial mode is quite different. I think 2K should be commended for their in-depth tutorial mode. Too many people play games improperly, and 2K went to great lengths to get players acclimated to how the game works.

This game seems interesting enough. Although, those visuals look awfully bland.

That's pretty awesome that they're going to focus on a much tighter narrative. I'm also in support of the new linear direction the series is taking. Perhaps, it's just me getting older and time becoming more sparse. Although, at the same time I'm torn, because I don't want to pay $60 for just a "tighter" narrative. I want something I can play around in as well.

I also like that the developer isn't going to artificially increase the game ...

What a brilliant article. I loved it. I especially have a few friends who know exactly what it's like to game as a couple.

I like the changes made to the multiplayer, especially the pre-match map view. Changing load-outs would also be really helpful. I wonder though if they fixed some of the exploits from Gears 2 (Superman, Two-piece, etc.)

Hmm, you know, I've always been a fan of the clear-cut three act approach. But then again, I really like open-endedness. I suppose it just has to do with how "open" the game is. I think what it comes down to is if I feel like I'm having fun.

I'm actually a little miffed by the philosophy of recent Bioware RPGs. I love experimentation and I love loot. It seems to me like they are trying to take those factors out. I have always enjoyed trying different ar...

I'm excited about the dynamic music details. Games that contain music that fits the themes always pull me in more than others. I especially like sound design that puts those nuanced details that engross me further.

SSX Tricky is a good example of this. I think that's the earliest title that implemented that sort of dynamic music/sound design -- to my recollection, I may be wrong. However, I was really impressed by how the music responded to my actions.

I think it has more to do with Valve's recognition of talent. Their code has always been open to the mod community, and some brilliant games come from those individuals. Keep in mind, Portal was conceived by a group of DigiPen students, not Valve. I think that's how it came to be such a surprise.
