For once, in a very long time, I'm willing to give this a shot.
For me, it's Ikaruga. I have a lot of XBLA games, but that one is heaven to me.
I'd take JGR and the Shenmue games. I think Toe Jam & Earl is a little too obscure and/or weird for this generation. It's a great, great game, but I don't think kids these days would understand it.
Looks like their taking a page out of the old Gears of War 2 playbook. That's good though. It keeps players in the game.
Fable has never been my kind of game. I just feel let down by the entire experience, especially with the lack of innovative interactions. There are only so many times I can give some generic gestures before I feel cheated by Molyneux. I could never get into the combat. However, it's a good review, and it seems as thought Lionhead is genuinely trying to address past issues. Still not worth a purchase to me. I've played better adventure games.
Nice knee-jerk reaction. You're missing my point completely. Peter is sacrificing play for the emotional experience. I'm all for the emotional experience, and I've written on this topic before. You can't have an emotional experience with a game when your avatar's only reaction to situations are: A) Fart B)Kill it with fire C) Thumbs Up. That's not emotional, that is a tacky replacement for actually trying to do something innovative. You cannot even hope to match ...
I don't even know if Peter knows what a game is anymore. He's gone overboard with this silly little notion that games are "emotional" experiences. Reviewers are gamers. However, Peter Molyneux is no longer a gamer. He's an interactive movie auteur.
ITT: Haters who wish they worked for IGN.
These games are always solid favorites of mine. It's like taking geometry wars and replacing the boring geometry and replacing it with zombies, blood and awesome.
I don't deny the fact that the Kinect is aimed at families and kids, but there is great potential for some interesting games. The point I'm trying to make is that a certain game on the DS showed me that buttonless controls are feasible, and this particular game would be perfect for an HD TV.
Like I said, lose the button monkey mentality.
Also, @KingNintendoFanboy, I am aware that there are some other awesome games for the Wii, but those were the ex...
I think people have said the same thing about the wii, and yet it has its own offerings. While they are slim compared to the sheer volume of shovel-ware titles, it can still hold its own.
Metroid Prime Trilogy: Before you go off about playing it on Gamecube, it's perfect with the Wii controls. It's also arguably the best deal since The Orange Box.
Zack and Wiki, Sin and Punishment Star Successor, No More Heroes 1 & 2, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, and ...
Unforunally: A mix of Unfortunate and annual with a -ly suffix? This man has bent the laws of adverbs.
Wayne Newton is probably the most surprising video game VA choice of all time. He's absolutely fitting for it, but I'm just merely blown away by the fact that he'd do something like this.
I've been talking to my brother about it, and he says the game is solid but not spectacular.
Very cool!
What network(s) will this phone be available on?
It's not a copyrights issue since the name Taliban isn't trademarked. It's more the fact that some people assumed that gamers would want to play as the Taliban to fulfill some sick fantasy about killing U.S. soldiers.
It's a lot of hot air on the national news outlets. It seems like things get especially crazy around an election season.
Nothing for Mages? I guess that's a good thing.
I really wish I had my 360 to play this. Oh well, it'll be on OnLive soon!
