Saying you appreciated DS2, but never finished Bloodborne triggered me more than I thought it would Haha
I know DS2 got better with the Scholar update, but damn, the launch version was tragically bad.
Indeed. I'm enjoying Sekiro, but Bloodborne is much better.
Had the same issue with Kirby. It was so damn easy I couldn't even enjoy it
Or you respect their decision and vision for the game and play the way they want you to play.
Exactly, not every game needs to cater to every audience. I'm not sure why From always get these articles with every game they make. I don't think the hardcore racing community asks Mario Kart for a sim mode.
What I'm saying is it doesn't need it because it can hurt the games core experience. It can hurt the experience the developers want players to experience. An easy mode in Sekiro would turn it into some simple hack 'n slash, and completely ruin it.
Pretty much this. If you go into Sekiro trying to play it like Darksouls or Bloodborne you will get murdered. All it asks of you is to learn its mechanics and practice them. Once you get the concept of blocking, parrying, reversals, and posture breaks the game becomes much more manageable. Still not "easy", but nothing you can't overcome with a bit of dedication and resolve.
Well, they have been good about refunds if the game is broken.
Very cool!
At least you can acknowledge the game isn't exactly for you because of that, respect it, and not ask for the game to cater to you.
I don't understand why this is always a discussion with HARD games. Why can't we have unforgiving games that ask you to practice and understand the mechanics to get better? In MOST games now-a-days I have to put a baseline of hard mode to even get any challenge out of it. Games are getting TOO easy and this is why I love FROM games or the SOULS style games like ASHEN and such.
Easy modes can severely hurt a game and its core experience. Prime example is the RE2 rema...
Weren't they giving it out for free to PS+ subscribers?
Also, why dont Ashen, Gears 4 and State of Decay 2 have the "(Also on PC)" tag?
It also came to Ps4 in 2016, Xbox One in 2017 and the Switch will be this year. If you missed this amazing twin stick shooter then that is all on you.
I don't want scripted story lines, but it certainly needs the AAA budget love.
@Senor
Most stupid thing I've read today.
So all Zelda games are incomplete? Mario? GTA? RDR 1&2? Ori? Most indies and all those old classic games. Countless amount of games don't offer difficulty modes. I think this is an argument between young gamers who have had easy modes their whole life and those if us who played in arcades where we knew we had to "git gud".
@KyRo
And you can speed run Skyrim and Zelda BotW in an hour as well. Your point?
Oh wow, I didnt even realize this was published by the same place. How low game "journalism" has come. I'm glad I didnt click them either. This is pathetic.
I'd at least take a half life 1&2 VR remaster
