@mkis
It does hit native 4k on X, but uses dynamic scaling and temporal injection when it has to to keep the 60fps.
Well with Japanese games, 80 minutes may very well be just the tutorial.
Spoilers!!
If he hasn't, I'm pretty sure the MGS collection just hit GamePass as well. Defintely worth playing them. I love MGS, but he did lose me a bit with V. Just wasn't for me.
@brave
That's some expensive TP haha I bet you enjoyed having "the beast" touch your B-Hole.
Considering it's kojima... 80 minutes might just be one cutscene haha
Wasn't the last cutscene in MGS4 over an hour?
But as far as game length it will likely be pretty long. They mentioned you need to travel across the US from east to west connecting cities. So depending on how long the journey is between settlements, it could be a really long game.
Can't wait. Hopefully its 80 minutes of a random mission in the middle with no context. I'm not really looking for spoilers, just more information on moment to moment gameplay features and stuff.
Huh, well to be fair, I didn't really pay much attention to any story or lore stuff... I was too busy murdering demons.
Was it? Then how come this is even news?
I think having it in 60fps makes all the difference as well when, as you said, seeing it in motion. Everything is smooth and beautiful and some truly beautiful displays of lighting and shadows.
How you gunna post a possible major surprise story spoiler in the headline? Jesus...
Yeah that was their main thing with 4. The studio only had like 5 people total who even played Gears, so it was important for them to show they understand the fundamentals. But Gears 5 they were able to flex a bit more on their creativity and changes and it seems to have paid off.
I wont downplay how fantastic those games are visually, but Gears 5 is also 60fps. It also features splitscreen co-op with only sacrificing the fps down to 30 per player.
Cant say that about UC4, GoW or Horizon. Cant we all just appreciate some beautiful work here without downplaying?
Damn, that sucks. Sorry brother, hopefully it gets there soon
Well there is Ori 2 early next year and then Halo Infinite. Plus a bunch of smaller arcade type games in between like Battletoads and Bleeding Edge
Maybe they're referring to the in game settings set to Ultra and also 4k resolution?
Hence why I said leaps and bounds, and not just "yeah it's kinda better than 4"
Still in Act 1 but holy moly so far it is leaps and bounds better than 4.
Oh very cool! Its weird I swear I saw an article saying they were just on the show floor. But this is much better
Lol that got me good
