It is unfortunate, but luckily game prices also drop much quicker these days. Also, digital releases.
To your comment that all circa 1990 beat 'em ups were short and generic: Streets of Rage, Final Fight, Double Dragon, Turtles Arcade/In Time, Golden Axe and probably a bunch more that hold up to today's standard. And that's just the fighting genre alone.
Great classics get re-released every year that prove they can stand their ground against newer, more evolved concepts by offering timeless solid gameplay. The ones that don't, only have themselves to blame, ...
soundslike someone didn't read any further than the title.
Well, the game is coming out on February 24 (in Europe at least), so you still have some downtime until that happens. It definitely looks like this will be another big chunk of gaming material though. February is a game heavy month again; the resting period is over.
Right now it isn't certain, but Xseed told people to 'be patient, because the second chapter is double the length'. I only hope they'll also release it on PSP and not Vita, but seeing as the adaptation has already started, I think that a PSP release is still safe.
I read this article earlier today. I thought it had a good level-headed, yet respectful perspective on the focus of the awards ceremony. Really good article; I hope people will pay attention to it.
If you like messing around with many different things, this will definitely be your thing!

This, definitely this. Spider bots <3
Thank you for your insight, sir. And I'm not being sarcastic, I enjoyed your point of view.
This. I thought the level design was grand; really grand. Many times I actively thought how great it was to switch form claustrophobic situations to open spaces with bombers on the top tier and multiple enemy classes on the ground level. It really made you think. Free ENHANCED Zelda. And free 3D video isn't too shabby, should it work.
Thanks. I'm sure you refer to the Joystiq (or other topical) article and I'm glad you picked up on it, in case anyone forgot this happened. It was pretty huge over here, but I'm not sure how it was viewed worldwide, so it bears noting.
