While I don't really agree the social factor should be enhanced more than it already is, I do agree that consoles could benefit from joining the free-to-play age on a larger scale. Perhaps a variety in these titles (so, not just MMORPG) might entice more players to form a community organically, instead of pushing for it in a separate platform. Just look at the vast leaps and bounds communities on Steam can perform, with Workshops for instance.
Because I streamed some relevant, illustrating footage and didn't make a video review? I wasn't aware I was due for both. Also, I feel like there were enough drawbacks (mentioned throughout as well), but still warranting a decent score, which shouldn't be too far from the general perception. (Metacritic tells me PC RCR has a 71, seems on par) Though I would be sorry if you think it wasn't reflected enough; I do try to ensure an argumentative, concise piece for all. It would ho...
Good someone caught that. But, the demo for it still comes out on December 18, so she's still right on a technicality (if you omit the part where she says "this month").
The breadth of the game (in all aspects, skills, customization, etc) is indeed very impressive.
Then have him throw Sackboys at the player, preferably while freestyling some mad rhymes. This thing is writing itself.
GeoHotz final battle, anyone?
Angry Joe's review is badass, though he seems to bring up the same issues and give it a similar score, only slightly elevated WITH the remark of being lenient. So, just throwing that out there. Also, go check that review and you'll get a lengthy view of whether or not this is the game for you (or just get some giggles, win either way).
She has some kickass moves in the trailer. She's listed as a preorder bonus though, so make sure you get it from the appropriate outlet if you want to have her on day one (probably DLC later on).
A demo isn't up to par with a game in development?

Then why not extend that to every preview build/debug/alpha/beta/non-gol d previews? None of those represent the final product. I'm pretty sure demos are a way for games to show a representative piece of the actual pie to people. That's why it stands short for demonstration, no?

I appreciate the sense of equality you're trying to convey, one which by all means I share with you and agree upon. Still, I think you're bit deadlocked on "JRPG" ONLY meaning a location, where as it's a defining term for a style that is specific of that location, but transcends merely being a map point by its mechanics.
For example: When pegging the term JRPG, most will associate them with buzz terms like manga, drama, fantastical elements, more trad...
Thanks for being awesome t references :D
I'm sorry, but I just have to follow that up with a visual

I agree with the shortcuts and that distraught me at first, but I think their main goal is to drastically alter your score and boost your power, not so much enhance your position. Though there are several that cut large sections of corners and such.
As for the online community, it depends. I found both to be true (empty and full races). But the lobbies are very minimal in what they offer, such is true.
I agree that this is blowing up beyond proportions. There have been several new crowd sourcing methods popping up left and right besides Kickstarter as well, seeing their successful business model. That, combined with a ton more titles trying to get funding on an extremely short period of time, might cause a burnout soon. Lets not forget that gamers also still need money for new games..or food.
But a thought that occurred to me is: I wonder what will happen when all these g...
It's steampunk first, then specifically GoT. Since I've never experienced the series/books, I called it that. But you're right, I was told it was that, which is why it's in the article.
Well, the release date for DS2 is set after the ultimatum, but I doubt THQ would have to dissolve in the few days between it or the ramp up towards there. At least, I very much hope it doesn't. Delisting doesn't mean going out of business per se, but it does however strike quite the financial blow. For more on that, check what Atari or Majesco had to go through with similar issues.
Plus, Darksiders is now part of their 'core games' plan, so my optimistic gue...
I'm not too certain how you want people to judge the game's pristine outlook when you link to TV screen recorded footage, but your deal on that one. I fear you might just drive my points home though. Try peddling one of the game's misleading trailers; even I did that out of perspective respect. Chalk that one up to basic honesty.
If that's skewed, it's in the sense I give an option for people to mislead themselves by watching trailers that aren't tr...
Do you honestly believe 'Twisted Metal', as some sort of entity, is going around paying people to discredit small indie games not even in league with it?
Also, just throwing that out there: I think Skydrift, a game with challenging handling also on PSN (and others), is one of the best racing games to come out in recent times, transcendent of genres like vehicular combat or straight forward races. Why? Because its controls are precise and the pacing of the game is r...
Well, the way I argue it in the article is that the PSP was built on promises, but those promises were not (or only very partially) delivered. After which, the bastion began to crackle and Sony wavered on its support. The interview with Industrygamers is a fine example of the handheld's shifted focus, possibly forced due to Sony having to focus resources on the PS3 (rightfully so, right?). Consumers were left with a semi-product, partially mismanaged and unnourished.

There is a DS version of Ni No Kuni, so it could be possible to join efforts for both into a Vita version, but I can't say I know enough about Level 5's working to see if they have an interest in it.
